Hello Tonya, my mom is 53 she has pulmonary hypertension and congenital heart disease. She's been sick all her life. I'm 26 and will graduate college this month. I stay home mostly because I don't want her to get sick. I love my mother ❤.

❤ Hello EmmysCoolVids123. Lovely remarks about your mother. I’m feel honored to read about the sacrifices you have made to be there for your mother and I’m proud of you. I know that your sacrifices are not going unnoticed and you will reap the benefits of your self-sacrificing love. My baby sister is my loving caregiver after I fell and became an incomplete quadriplegic. Keep on enduring with patience and prayer. ❤❤❤

@1quadlove118 Thank you for your positive words. I know my mom might not make it to 60 or 70, but I'm trying to spend as much time with her as I can. I am an only child. I am glad you have a sibling you can count on blessings to you. -Emmy

Today is Wednesday, September 11, 2024 and this video blessed me, corrected me, encouraged me and strengthened me. I am the 61 year old “baby” of 5 adult stair-step children trying to give our 91 year old Mother the very best care that she deserves. I’ll just say that I have laid a lot at the altar this past year, but what clarity you brought when you made the parallel (not comparison) about the “cup” that Christ drank from WOW!!!! Thank you so much Tonya for letting God use you.

Hello Tonya I know exactly what you’re saying, my Mother had a stroke in 2013 and passed in 2016 and I took care of her the entire time. And when she passed I cried but it was tears of knowing she was with GOD and it didn’t hurt because I was there to take care of her. GOD BLESS you and your Mother cherish every second with her. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💖🥰👸🏽👵🏽💯💫🌷🌹🕊️

Love this topic. My grandmother passed away and my mom and grandmother lived together after my pop pop passed. Once she transitioned she passed the torch to me to make sure she’s not alone and content. So me and my boys are her backbone and we all have a ball together🥰🙌🏾🙏🏾

Great video! I just also wanted to add that as we get older, we also have to recognize that we are changing, and sometimes it's confusing to us. I just turned 57, and I am finding how easily erritated I get, and my kids are noticing also. My parents passed when I was 16, so I dont have that to experience, but I am sure noticing the stages in my life. I have always had a soft spot for the elderly. I think they often get the short stick instead of the respect and love that they deserve. ❤

Both my parents passed away within the past two years, when caring for them, I had to remind myself and my siblings we must know what is them, and what is their illness. No matter what we must care for them and give them as much dignity as possible without putting them in harms way. You must PRAY for INCREASING PATIENCE and Godly wisdom.

Hello my sister. Taking care of my mom was a task but God brought me through. God has the power to give you all the strength. I have a sister and she would also be there. But my mom always told me, no matter how man siblings you have there is always that ONE that the parents will depend mostly on. Guess what, I was that one. I learned a lot, did a lot, and accomplished a lot with caring for my mom. She passed in 2007 and it seems just like today. But God...... I now help my friends with ideas and other things which I learned on that journey. That is what made the whole journey of caring for my mom and grandmother so rewarding. My mom cared for my dad also until he had a massive heart attack. Blessings and thank you for this video.

Thank you Tonya for your perspective. Both my husband and I’s parents are deceased; however, your perspective gave insight into how we should practice more patience and grace with our kids. For one day, we may find ourselves needing their help for care. I want my 2 children to look back on our time as their parents and see that we practiced grace and patience with them. Consequently, they will reciprocate it onto us. Thank you!
Can you share your perspective on “friendships” in your life. As I have gotten older, I noticed I don’t have as many “friends” as I did when I was younger. I desire quality, like-minded friendships but it seems to be harder as a “seasoned” person. Looking forward to your perspective on this topic.
    Be Blessed!

Thank you for this video. It has truly blessed me as I am going through these circumstances of caring for my father who was recently diagnosed with dementia. I am basically helping my mother help him. And am constantly battling within myself and with my own personal feelings because my father was an absentee father throughout my childhood and entered my life as a grown woman several years ago (long story). But I do the best I can with helping him. His other children who had more of a relationship with him are not around. I have asked God to remove any harsh feelings I have and do what I need to do to honor my earthly father and Heavenly Father. ❤️

Tonya, girl...this blessed me. You put it all in perspective, when you talked about the cup that Jesus had to drink from...oh yes, it can be a challenge taking care of your loved ones...but when you except that you are chosen to do it, it takes prayer, and love, and prayer again...especially if they are " learning to live for God,". Baby...!!
It can also be, and it is, very rewarding.😊

Hey Tonya , I really love what you said it is so true you do have to have more patience with your parents as they age and you realize that they are getting older and you have to be more attentive to them yet at the same time we also have to realize that some of us have parents where your relationship hasn’t been good ,That has been uneasy so you have to give more of yourself because of those situations and childhood things that you have gone through and grown through and still healing from but still making yourself available to be that child for them. It is very much demanding and the morally thing of being Christlike as well so you have to dig deeper face with those circumstances yet I get everything that you have said certainly it is, something that all of a sudden you realize that they are aging, they are getting older but the beautiful thing about it regardless of what I’ve always been loving to both of my parents and have always given myself my time or whatever I could to make life easier for both of them I lost my dad almost 6 years ago. I still have my mom so I thank God every day but I also realize they are who they are, but they are just older and it takes strength and understandingand God, grace help you to do the right thing and be there for your parents. Amen 🙏🏾

Thank you so much for sharing this. God heard my prayer. I'm going through this now with my parents and also take care of my sister. However, my dad is the one how needs me the most. I'm a cry baby. So every time I'm around him, seeing him in his condition after a stroke I get emotional and want to cry. How would you deal with this and not be a "cry baby"? I have a big heart and love seniors. So this is hard for me to not feel so emotional every time. Thanks in advance ❤❤
