I'm a person who appreciates options!!! Thank you for the demo!!!
I can't believe someone else believes that aswel. I say that same saying to my wife, all the time.
Omg I knew I should've picked up my new glasses today. I thought the thumbnail was, "Jezebel"🤣🤣
hahaha funny part is I had to re-shoot the intro to this because that is exactly what I called it lol
I did get the iso-butane to propane adapter by Lixada, that you featured in the video you referenced. This is definitely a great piece of gear, for those options you mentioned. Thanks for the video, you always have some incredible finds. Stay safe out there and God bless!
Thanks, yeah I am shocked at just how many adapters that video sold, its amazing to see how many people got that one. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing, keep prepping ideas coming, god bless you and your wonderful family 🌴😎👵🏼🌴🙏🌸🌼🍀🌺
A handy tool to have. Thank you for showing it to us. George. Stay safe and stay cool.
Options are always good!
Thank you for the information🎃
Thanks for giving people the differences between the fuel types and why they might want a set of these adapters. Just recently purchased one of each (Propane to Lindal, Lindal to Propane and Butane to Lindal) for my own testing at home. Add to the Propane to Lindal conversion, a tank adapter/tree and use a hose and you've got the ability to run your standard two burner camp stove and a side stove if needed.
AS you said, its all about options and the price for the adapters is reasonable for having a set of them lying around for emergencies. It makes even more sense if you happen to do any kind of camping.
So glad you posted this. I have a butane stove with canisters for power out conditions. It’s too big for a situation where I need to leave in a hurry. I live in earthquake country, so I’ve been looking for a small option for a food BOB in case my house isn’t safe. Not planning to hike cross country, but a pocket stove with one of my many butane canisters and some freeze dry meals is a great option.
Thank you for the video.
we tend not to have iso butane in uk we have butane or 60/40 mix of butane and propane, I've noticed some companies selling cozys for the fat canisters in an attempt to extend their cold weather performance was wondering if I coulf get same for these slim butane cans, then, I looked over at my 750ml titanium water bottles this particular brand csme with a neoprene fabric sleeve was a perfect fit for gas can that should help in winter
Thanks, George
I will definitely buy one. Thanks for another amazing video. 👍 Amazing for camping.
Having fuel options is always a good idea!
Which is why I use a MSR WhisperLite Universal Backpacking Stove with ethanol free unleaded gasoline being my primary fuel source.
Same for my Coleman duel fuel stove and lantern!
And any remaining fuel goes into my truck!
Just what I've been looking for.
Thanks Alot!👌
don't have that brand but I do have the same type of adapter too plus the propane one spoke of, gives more options with gas stoves, good video and demo
Very good information and a very well done video, we were wondering if you could tell us how long on very low will this canister last and if you have done these types of videos can you send us the link media library we will refer people to your channel if you can help us out
Just bought 2! I have hardly used the different stoves I have with the different adapters but it’s all about preparedness, right?
Very helpful video!!
Thanks for your detail information...i have doubt about this kind of portable cooksets can i use this pot for regular use in home like making pasta , potato fry , meggi etc ??
Can you use the adapter without the hose?
yup you can use it directly on a stove, no problem I just used this one cus its the latest stove I have been testing out.
Recipe for the day: Spam casserole: Spam diced, 2 15oz cans baked beans, 16oz jar salsa, mix, top with tortilla chips and cheese, bake till hot.
You are the new Hiram Cook . ( you tube channel )
So do they make propane adapters so you can use a standard tank?
great review and comparison! will this adaptor work with the coleman peak 1?
Yes it will
good news! i picked up the lixadaa after your recommendation and use it daily at work. it keeps me out of the breakroom thus mitigating my contact as cold/flu season descends upon us. thank you for the quick response!
It would be nice if you could refill isobutane canisters with propane. You can refill one pound propane bottles from a twenty pound bbq tank for way less than a buck. Why do they say it’s unsafe to refill isobutane canisters with propane when there is already propane in the mix?? Any thoughts??
Brad,
It's the pressure curve. The Isobutane canisters aren't designed to handle the pressures that pure Propane generates. I was reading recently that Propane pressure levels are 4 times that of Isobutane. My guess is that if you filled an Isobutane canister with Propane, it would eventually pop like a balloon. And think of the shrapnel that may cause. From everything I've read, don't do it.
The propane amount inside the Isobutane canisters is very small and only designed to help with pressure levels in cold weather. In fact the main problem is that the propane will end up burning off quicker in cold weather because it will vaporize when the butane doesn't.
I have no experience with refilling any of the "disposable" fuel cans/bottles including the propane ones so I can't say how safe or easy it is. I do see a lot of products on Amazon designed for refiling the Propane bottles and I have seen some for refilling/transferring butane style fuel from Lindal to Lindal connections. I would think this is great for consolidating nearly empty canisters into one full canister. Just like with the propane ones, the canister you are emptying should be on top because you are using the pressure to push the LIQUID fuel into the canister being refilled.
@@davidhawkins847 Interesting! Excellent information! Very good to know! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Safety is paramount!!!
Does this have simmer abillity?
yes
How do you find this stuff? Don't get me wrong, this is why I enjoy your channel, but honestly, I never would have thought to look for something like this. Great Channel keep it up and thanks.
P.S. With all of the stuff you review, just how big is your gear room/barn?
hehe I have a 3 bedroom house, 1 bedroom I use, the other is my food and other supplies store room, and the last is more for larger survival gear and electronics gear as well, with some food storage. Garage is also loaded up with racks, gear and other survival items :)
@@Iridium242 You must have the most understanding wife in the world! lol. Let me know when your next garage sale is, I'll be there even if I have to hoof it. 😁

Our local Wally is out of butane, isobutane, and almost out of green propane bottles...
Check with other sporting goods store, our Big 5 always has all of it just a bit more expensive.
