As Salam alaikum. Thank you for this tutorial. I followed how to cut and how tho sew... And alhamdulillah I made myself a layered chiffon abaya. Problem is the front is shorter than the back? What did I do wrong?
You definitely didn’t measure it all round with the same length. And that’s a mistake you can easily make, I also had the same problem when I made the abaya at first. Just make the circle is the same length all round
For length 60 inches, you can use 4.5 yards then you cut out your length which is 60 and the remaining yard you can use for your sleeves. Your second layer can be 3 yards then you cut out 50 inches and for the third/shortest layer you can also use 3 yards then cut out 40 inches and use the rest for sleeves. This way you’ll be using 10 inches as the interval btw the layers but if you like you can use 11 or 12 inches as interval
I get confused when ur arranging them together can you please put them on the floor so we can see exactly what you're doing because whole ur holding it like that is not clear on what ur doing
The arrangement is by thier lengths. So the longest layer, the longer layer and the long layer. Please watch the sewing video, you’ll see the arrangement there
