Bro this is not curved screen... It's cropped screen... This is not 2.39:1 ratio.. wider than that.. this theatre cropping content for fit this screen...
Sandhya 70mm had a 70mm Format Screen with an Aspect Ratio of 2.20:1 (Original aspect ratio for 70mm Movies)means the Screen was a bit more taller with same width. All the years you could see bars above and below when screening a 35mm Cinemascope Movies, later they used lens to cover the Top to image full screen but nearly 4 ft images were lost due to this technique. In 1995 They Changed the screen to 2.35:1 Proper Cinemascope format and lowered the Ceiling to avoid awkward looking gap from the top ceiling. This Theatre is too Wide it was the widest Theatre in Entire of AP and also in India when it was inaugurated in 1979 with 1456 seats. One of the Original 70mm Theatre After Natraj 70mm,Ramakrishna 70mm,Sangeeth 70mm, it was the third 70mm Theatre in United AP it was the Biggest of all until 1979.
