This is Charlie Chen from St. Louis, MO. Keep up the good work! Your videos are such an inspiration! I am a 48, soon to be 49 years old that recently returned to running after 20 years away from running. I love watching your videos which is filled with so many amazing And practical advice. I love your positivity and encouragement. If you are ever in St. Louis, MO. Would love to meet you and say hi.
Sore later..... hmmmm.....🤔..... interesting concept..... how about sore now, always, and forever? ..... oh I think that's called just being old 🤣 Haven's confidence is certainly growing. It is great once you reach that point where you feel strong and capable. Haven certainly seems to be feeling it. That's awesome!
@@allheartrc she is doing great and it shows! Getting older is great but if you can't make salty jokes about he process, then where's the fun in that....lol ..... plus it is fun to discover new aches and pains in places I never knew existed on a regular basis 🤣..... ah the ignorance of youth.....
Love this! Question though, If Haven is a 3:29 Marathoner, her estimated 10 is around 44min, so wouldn't that mean the 10k race pace is ~7:15 per mile ish? Why ~6:18p/m here? Just trying to learn and understand for training. Thanks again!
thanks! haven's current personal best marathon time is 3:29. however, she has developed fitness and is looking to finish the long beach marathon in 3 hours. the equivalent 10k time is around 39 minutes. haven has a lot of natural talent so her improvement curve is steep. her marathon PBs are 3:52 (2023) and 3:29 (Mar 2024) with 3:00 as the goal for Oct.
She hasn't raced a marathon for a while. She is probably looking for a big PR now. Most recently Evan and her older brother run PRs a few months ago 2:58 and 2:57.
Classic workouts would be longer and slightly easier parts in the morning 3-4 a miles/4-5 times 1200 or 5/6 times a 1 kilometer later in the day 8 -12*400m maybe even more. They should feel easy enough and lactate testing should probably carried out to check if you stay in range
Crushing it Haven!! Can’t wait to incorporate some double thresholds in my plan.
haven is getting real quick!
