We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own debt free, off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid" and our family life vlogs can be found on our secondary channel "Wild Wonderful After Show"

As a single Mom of five, now all grown, I built a barn, with structure help green house and many interior projects, and created a home for our family. Of coarse I had a house built in 1870’s. I learned and pushed myself to do the “guys” stuff.well done Erin. Please pull your hair back when working near the saw.You’re beautiful no matter what you do with your hair.

I cried when I saw Chuck snoring under the deck. My sweet old dog CoCo just died a little over a week ago, and she used to snore like that. Hug Chuck a little tighter tonight for me would you? ❤️❤️

I've kept you in my prayers for Josh's quick recovery.
On the 22nd of November, I just had my 9th and final Right knee Replacement and Reconstruction Surgery. I'm home from the hospital getting ready for PT to start tomorrow.
We hope you have a speedy recovery! Glad to hear it's your final surgery ❤
Oh my goodness. NINE? I've had ONE, also right knee. Godspeed on your convalescence and PT - by this time, you should be a pro at it! 😎👍🏻
@@cbquid2513 thanks much. 7 of the surgeries was due to 3 infections that set in after my first surgery in June 2016. I was hospitalized 5 months from June-October 2016. They put a Medicated Concrete Block Infused with Antibiotics in place of the Titanium Prosthetic Knee and it has to be in there for 2 years minimum. But Covid-19 delayed us and 2 years. Then took another year to get everything scheduled and set up between my Orthopedic Surgeon, Plastic Reconstruction Surgeon, Infectious Disease Specialist, Hospital and Physical therapy.
But, surgery went fantastic and I'm doing MUCH better than surgeon's expected. Already weight bearing.
Our daughter and son grew up like that and middle age now they still talk about what a wonderful life it was. God bless your family.
Erin, Total respect to you, not many wives would step up and keep the work going nor would many be able to do such a good job. You are fantastic and its good to see the boys helping so much as well a great team

Erin your circular saw cut added character to the shelves! Spot on! Yes Erin your narration about you and Josh being that team! This has been working for my wife and I now since 21 years. There’s nothing more rewarding as to having that partner who “does” it with you! I remember in the beginning of our marriage when I asked my
Wife “darling? Can you hand me a Phillips?”
And she replied, what size? Me??? She, well there are at least 4 sizes of Phillips in every screw driver set, so what size? Me, beats me a Phillips, because frankly I never bothered to wonder about the size of a Phillips! But I knew she was it! We cleared 6 acres of land off of blackberry bushes and turned the nothing in to a park! Nothing more rewarding than to sit back and tell your wife, Darling, we did that all by ourselves!

Oh my goodness! That picture of Chuck snoring doesn't get any cuter! Your oldest has really stepped up as a helper on your construction projects.
I watch a number of homestead/home build series/channels and what sets this one apart is how Erin EASILY outworks every other wife. Others put in as much effort but in pure results and production your wife owns them all....and it isn't that close. So kudos to Josh on marrying so well LOL.
You asked for help and Frank assisted. Can’t be mad at him for that. 😁
When reading through some of the comments I found that there are so many men who are in awe of this lady's wonderful resourcefulness. Guys, Please. There are a great many women out there who are very resourceful and capable and always have been throughout history. Love of family, country and community drives us. Erin is a prime example. Awesome work babe.
Take 10 Random ones at the street. Ask "have you ever changed a light bulb, unclogged your kitchen sink or changed your tire" hardly find 2, probably 1, or zero that are like this. I made the test. "Throughout history" Is kinda stretched, I'm not a vampire to experience centuries of search, lol.

Excuse me but, what's bad about letting a woman know how much you admire the skills she has that you don't normally see any women do? If you randomly selected a thousand women, I doubt that you would find one that could keep up with her. To be honest, there probably aren't many men in a randomly picked group who could either.
@@miptzi This girl has worked along beside my dad watching and learn since I was young. He was a double amputee (legs) so a a small child I was a hand me get me kid of girl. My first husband didn't do manual labor he said he was to smart to have to use his hands. I worked with my husband fixing up home we ever bought. I have my own tool boxes that he is not allowed to touch. I've never had the muscle to do all the heavy lifting like Erin. I'm sixty four now so I can't really do a whole lot now. I'm getting over having my second shoulder surgery and trying to get over. Most of what I do know I learned from my dad.

Now that you are building a place for tools in the trailer, please take time to take security into consideration. As a trade myself, it’s always a concern that ppl steal other ppls tools and property. We had our trailer stolen. Locks, security cameras are a must now unfortunately. Keep up the great videos and work. Take care!

LOL, Erin you don't need Little Debbies, women are strong, capable and have will power. My dad ate Little Debbies Oatmeal Creme Cookies, he loved them his whole life. Towards the end of his life, my uncle used to bring him a box when he visited Dad at the Veterans Home. My Mom who recently passed after 93 wonderful years, was not eating and the hospital staff were trying everything to get her to eat anything. My Mom was petite woman and it was always important to her to take care of herself, she watched what she ate which never included Little Debbies. But when the nurses offered my 93 year old mother, a Little Debbie not only did she eat one, she ate the entire box of 8. She must know that she'd be seeing my Dad soon in heaven and finally gave up the Little Debbie fight. Definitely made me laugh and smile during a sad time. Reminds me of you and Josh........hope you both live to 90-something!
