That was my first experience with a scooter, chrome Mongoose. I was gifted a General, which I modded with Odessey Flying Wedge bars, dyno spintech, folding skyway fork pegs, and a Rump Rest. Thanks for this video.
I'm GOING buy the new mongoose for my kids.. but on my jesse James chopper bike.. I think I have some 80s mongoose handle bars.. but got some rust. I might look for a mongoose bike for them . Like how you mix dyno pretzel bars on it. Looks kool.. I don't know why they didn't have mag wheels on those new mongoose scooters. Think they should have..
Yeah I got the jesse James chopper bicycle way it is . Had 80s bmx handle bars on it. It's kinda to high on the bike so I might find different handle bars for that and try to restore it some . But I'm thinking looking online for a mongoose bmx bike.. for the rusty 80s handle bars its pit up chrome.. but I do like that mongoose scooter.. good restore and find..
Thanks... Found them on Amazon by size, so 1986 Scooter tires are the same size as motorized (Gas) scooters are today. I needed tubed too, so it ran me $40 for tires and tubes: amzn.to/37F1BZ4
Thank you and to clarify, it was not a build but a restore of my 30+ year old Scooter. I found them and the few other items I needed via Amazon. If you go on my site Blog, I put the full details there. More pictures, background and all the products I used and they are linked there as well. Just go to: www.oldschoolbmxtv.com and you will see the link on the news page for the Blog/Blog post.
Glad you liked it... You can see the full restore over on my site/blog: www.oldschoolbmxtv.com. I saw a video the other day on SnakebiteBMX on a restore he started using Vinegar, but I get the feeling he does not like me and well, I left a comment with the method I used and he never published it.
