Stick, Pad, and Hitbox are all perfect for fighting games but I'm surprised you didn't get a Hitbox just because of all the hype around it, all 3 of those options are used by the top players but Hitbox seems like the next big thing but it honestly doesn't really matter.
Best controller is the one you play best on. I played on dpad to stick to hitbox. Hitbox is a learning curve. Stick is probably the most recommended for fgc

I got one a couple years ago just to have it and now it’s the only way I can play fighting games. It’s just super fun to use.
