Yes, I can move the camera, but that takes up too much time, which you can't afford in a fast pace mini-game. It doesn't happen too much, but it is a nuisance when it does.
Just bought it for 14 dollars I'm excited to play Spyro as a kid i remember playing the demo and i ended up liking it so i can't wait to play, currently downloading.
Good review! Its a 9 out of 10 for me. I never played Ritos Rage before, due to damaged disk back in the day. It is by far the best of the three games, with 1 and 3 behind! For the price, its a no brainer
I actually skipped the originals on PS1 and really regret it because this collection is awesome. I've finished Spyro 1 already with 120% completion and the platinum on PS4 and started 2 last night. So good.
im so overjoyed and in love with reignited trilogy as a player of the original trilogy this is like a love and thank you letter for every spyro fan out there makes me cry tears of pure joy to play this and brings back many happy memories for me and creating new ones as well I hope game freak can elarn from this and make a much better pokemon game cause spyro is above number one he is the greatest. and how you do hit the ground running is how I like a adventure to be.

I agree with everything everything "3 very long games". The games all together add up to a good amount of time and very worth the money, but don't really hold up to today's standards as far as length. Still very worth the money and done perfectly, but don't go into this expecting 3 long games worth of playtime
Twigg4075 i think playtime will always vary from person to person, i got 120% on the first game in 6 hours but im happy with that as i still have the other 2 games to play and thinking about it you get all 3 games for one price so it holds its value well
These are definately the remakes we've all been waiting for. Toys For Bob did incredible work on all three titles. However I feel like there were a number of bugs and other issues that didn't get fixed that did at times cause me huge amounts of frustration, especially when it came to the races in the flight levels or the skate missions. These issues mainly have to do with Spyro 3 however and from what I understand, Activision didn't give them enough time to fix everything so I can't fault TFB for that. Hopefully some patches will come out soon to address the bugs it's got. Whilst there are some things I felt were more aesthetically pleasing in the original (although that could just be nostalgia), this is a wonderful trilogy of games that any Spyro fan will want. If you're someone who is still reserved about buying it I still say buy it, your money will not go to waste. It's a game that deserves to be in your collection. Yes you will have to download Spyro 2 and Spyro 3 when you boot it up for the first time but thankfully that's it. Buy it, play it, love it. Plus the fact that Toys For Bob went the extra mile just to put the original tracks by Copeland on the game just shows that they truly care about it.
I’ve noticed some things while playing that definitely seem like they just didn’t have the time to polish and such but .... nothing has been overly awful.
Only problems I had were a few glitches where spyro would get stuck and I noticed in the third game some of the animations were off. Like a character would go through a portal and just stay in the same pose awkwardly. Also the boxing, whack a mole, and dragon chase mini games are the worst. Other than those things pretty good game. I give it a 9/10. I played the originals as well when I was younger.
Sir Galahad actually, you can play parts of 2 and 3 before using the patch. Said patch of course the game asks you to update on the spot. So the full game is still there, just gotta let it do it’s thing for a minute or 2
@@NunoRufas101 well it may (hopefully) take even less time then that. since the Spyro trilogy was made in unreal engine #4, a game making software made for both pc and home console, where as n.sane trilogy was made on the skylanders engine, which was originally for the wii, playstation etc. so it took longer to port :3.
While I think these games are so fucking beautiful and well crafted, there are still issues. Spyro 1 is almost perfect and was probably fine tuned the most while Spyro 3 is a let down with lots of noticeable bugs and glitches that can break the game. I haven't played 2 yet so can't comment on that one.
@@ronald7795 No it's not, as if the game is downloaded, then you can play it regardless. How do I know that? I've got Alien: Isolation, and even though you have to be online for the survivor mode leaderboard to work, you don't have to be online to play it.
ThatOneRaven they rushed it SO MUCH. What we got was like a quarter of what was originally planned. Not to mention the glitches in that seriously small amount of what we got.
I’m still torn on what game system to buy. I really want Spyro, but at the same time I really want the new Pokémon Game. I’ve played both franchises since I was 5/6 years old, hell they both helped me read and talk. Both have a huge place in my heart and it’s sucks I have to choose. Also thanks for the video. The switch has more original games and will most likely see a port of spyro to it since Crash was ported about a year after it's release on the PS/Xbox. Or buy a PS1/2 on ebay and the original games for like 1/3 of the price lol

I don't think the game is well optimized. it was a 65GB download. even if it's a remake it's still ps1 sized games and it's by no means a graphical powerhouse. MGSV was about 20-25GB I can't imagine why this is 3X larger. a small complaint, everything is great and I'm enjoying it.
This is a remake. Toys for Bob May have used Spyro scope but they didn’t use any of the original assets. Furthermore I don’t think that keeping Spyro’s movement as tanky and awkward as the originals. I guess I’ll see when my preordered copy arrives... at least a week late.
I'm talking about unstable framerate, game runs not smooth, for me all that beautiful graphics and high resolution ( i play it on pro) make no sense if you can"t rotate camera or run without framerate issues, it's just ugly to play ...
I suggest you to see digital foundry analisys btw other revieus say the same that framerate isn't solid. With other games i have no problems rachet and clanck, horizon ecc... runs smooth, maybe you are lucky
Imo the art direction is not like the originals. It's over-designed in many places. Imo the originals are better, and I'm not just saying it for nostalgia. The original Insomniac team was just a more talented group of individuals than the people who made Reignited, and the original trilogy is more consistent than this one.
Adam Smasher there both equally constant, I could understand you liking simple art design of the original but graphics and art design don’t make a game good.
@ThatOneRaven I'm obviously taking in to account the limitations back then. Crash's remake is more faithful to the original though. Spyro's remake has more artistic liberty. Not saying it's a bad thing, just pointing it out. I think the remake is beautiful. It's just that the main aesthetic that the originals were going for are just not there. Understandable, as the team is completely different hence the interpretation will be as well.
I don’t think the originals are better, but playing these hasn’t made me lose my love for them. In fact; it’s made me love them more. I played through the originals quite recently and honestly, there are lots of little things that made them as cool as they were that the new versions just don’t quite match.

Yeah the camera is fine, I use the right analoge stick to move it around when moving about. Really makes most of the challenges super easy too.

The motion blur is my only complaint

Motion blur establishes a sense of motion (surpriise) and simulates fast objects that your eyes cant quite catch to blurr out like in reallife.

It took me a little over 14 hrs to 120% the first game. That's plenty long.

the camera is just fine its not hard to get use to but it can be a bit ruff at some points in the game
Good game, marred by a lack of polish thanks to Activision forcing them to rush it out 6 months before it was ready.

I found a few issues with quality of life updated that were sorely lacking the UI, and UX. But overall it’s a gorgeous game(s)

Actually, I think the new one looks more simple... Walls in the original had plenty of decorations textures and looked less cartoony
