What a great actor. He has a great sense of humor too, and he is a humble guy. Thank God for Hugh Laurie. I really mean it. It's good to see humble actors...
I just love him. Who couldn't love him, he's got it all. The talent to pull off a very witty, sarcastic doctor who is kind of scarily brilliant. Then there is the real Hugh who is so cute and sweet. I can't decide which accent I like better. I love everything he does and how humble he is. I can't even imagine having to work in another country, away from my family for 9 months out of a year. I can see why he got depressed. I'm hoping that he is feeling better and that he and his wife stay together. With the divorce rate in this country only having about a 50% success rate. I would think that number would be cut in half when you are big in Hollywood. (As well as being such a handsome, talented actor.) That the odds of him having multiple infidelities would be quite high. My grandfather was an M.D and had his pick of the ladies. I would think that women must be throwing themselves at Hugh Laurie. So I think it's really sweet, how loyal he is to his wife. He is the exception v.s many famous men being the rule.
People make so many comments about how articulate and coherent he is, but here in Britain it isn't unusual. Many are like that. I speak a lot like him. Yes I know but I do.
He is very articulate and eloquent but I think that's the English/Cambridge upbringing and education, not all English people speak in the 'proper English' accent and dialect but Hugh is especially well spoken, as are many actors who are Oxford or Cambridge alumni.
I agree to a certain extent but HL is defnitely more talented than average and he also received an extremely privileged education. I think it´s that what people refer to here. He is certainly more intelligent and articulate than the tens of thousands of yobbos on weekends in Amsterdam, summers in Spain or a Saturday night in any UK town.
he looked so cute and lovable when he did the "surf" action. and who's ben? i thought he was referring to robert and jennifer? he's remarkingly polite. =) this made my day!
