flintstones drum set
🤣
xD
They call him Shred Flintstone on the kit
@@BradsGonnaPlay lmao
Those drum heads are made from the skins of his victims
The "dont worry the venues got a house kit" kit
😊
Now I need Aphex Twin to add the rest of the instruments
Or Photek 🎶
Damn, he gettin STAAAAAAAANKY with it
My first thought lmao
Amon Tobin
squarepusher doods
Very cool, almost unbelievable this was played on an actual physical drum kit
That’s What makes it so groovy. You can’t program that.
@@yougotgroove you for sure could program that LOL
Why? People stil play instruments lmao 🤣
@@joshua9862 because the sounds he got out of his percussion are very good, so you would expect it to be sounds created digitally
@@JacobTwoToo 1:07 Yeah sure, program that ^^
What I love about every single one of your videos is that the average person would look at you and say you’re a wizard and someone knowledgeable in musicality would also look at you and say you’re a wizard
so awesome! it's like an amalgamation of tribal and future-societal rhythmical arrangements!
this man has seen the future
80s + tribal
Being someone who has always looked for sounds in everyday objects this makes me extra happy. There's no need for gigantic kits of custom made drums and cymbals - it's the music that counts and you're proving it time after time.
Wow. I’ve been a musician for 35 years, played in many bands, recorded a lot of music, etc. This is so creative and original. I’d love to lay some chunky metal riffs over this.
Very nice use of compression/distortion to compliment this style
Glad you like it!
When that drumsticks crossed and hit, you know that’s a genius playing
Feel like I'm on a conveyor belt about to be processed
this is amazing!!! the sound you get out of that old lamp is crazy…
“Don’t worry about bringing your own set; we have a house kit at the venue.”
The house kit:
Speaking as somebody who 'plays the kitchen ' whilst waiting for the kettle to boil...I approve. Dishes in the drying rack and the inside of my cutlery drawer are a personal favourite. Also the sound you've got going on there isn't a million miles away from the samples on my Roland TD8 module.
You are one of the most creative people and you’re also very industrious making these videos. I’d like to be a little more like you in my career. Thanks for showing us how it’s done!
Your creativity never ceases to inspire , Max. Thanks for all the uploads!
Glad you like them!
Inspires fear
@@Ash_Hudson the best kind of inspiration
Lincoln log roof slates were my drum sticks of choice back in the day when I was still too young to think of myself as a basement dweller. Love the grooves and primitive kit!

Max:
*HOLD MY BEER*
This is so grungy and deep.
It's like an underwater beat.
Amazing the sounds you produce feom these seemingly random objects.
Awesome
I keep coming back to this for therapeutic reasons.
I feel like I'm being pummeled and rolled out in a rhythmical steel mill.
Oh this is just what I needed!
So inspiring.
This is the perfect example for all of us drummers, especially for the ones thinking that they’re left out because of technology.
They say the music being created now is crappy compared the way the old school guys did it.
Well look what happens when old-school guys embrace what these young kids are doing. Remember, these young kids don’t have the experience of that red light going on in that 2 inch tape rolling, every second costs money , you get a couple of shots and if you choke, the word travels fast and that’s pretty much it. Somebody else replaces you when the tape rules, if you’re lucky you’ll get to do the tour or you’ll get to do the live shows, but when it comes to recording, you either prepared for it or you didn’t.
When it comes to these young cats, well, whatever they lay down they can manipulate and fix it, but something gets lost.
What Max is doing, it’s groundbreaking, it’s paving a new way, a new road for as old school drummers!
Feel is finally making a comeback!!!
I have a really good feeling that MUSIC is going to be awesome again.
What do you think drives it?
PASSION!!!!
Max you’re oozing passion buddy.
Be it May or June I’m coming!
Thx Greg!! Appreciate it 🙏
Would love to see you ♥️♥️
One of the few YT channels that never disappoints me!
wow, I would have never thought to put marshmallows on my sticks. Seems like it would dampen the rebound too much, but the sound is really nice. Love the unique sounds of everything.
can’t tell if this is a joke
This is HEAVY! Could listen to a whole album based off those sounds.
Youve always got such a good sound man. Love the punchyness
Thx!
You are an awesome, creative musician. I love your beats, your skill and your feeling!
Thank you so much 😃
Everything from the tinbre to the groove itself feels like it could fit comfortably in Aphex Twin's I Care Because You Do album!
you always make me smile and drown in the groove, in the dynamics) you work with sound, which allows you to clearly convey accents, gorgeous)
Wow, thank you!
Damn! This actually sounds so good! Love how each mix has a different texture added too.
It takes me back to apex twins but with a lot of delay. Awesome
The high hat choke sound is perfect
Wow! Beautiful!
Glad you like :)
yoooo that's crazyyyy 🔥🔥 keep rockin'
*DISGUSTINGLY* CLEAN
On the real, so thankful for your videos. They’ve taught me that locking into a groove is equally as important as changing it up. Know when and where to improvise (even on an improvised beat, if that makes sense)
i swear this sounds like music you hear in a video game when you're roaming around a certain stage or level. you are DOPE!!!!
Probably the Junkyard Planet level on some retro platformer set in space.
As always totally awesome.
Thank you! Cheers!
that hihat sounds effing awesome
You could tell me this was taken straight from a Plaid song I wouldn't question it. Bravo.
Man, every few weeks you come out with a new favorite. You're really on to something. If you get in touch with an ambient artist and a rapper with this kind of thing... I'd buy
Why can't something this good have a million likes?
Ok when you hit that silver crash at 0:38, I liked the video lol I really dig your creativity man. Awesome work!
This reminds me of how blown away I was back in '84 when I first heard the amazing David Van Tiegham. The album was called These Things Happen. This is Epic, Thanks🤟
I want to see Tori Amos or Bjork use this dood on an album.
haven't seen your channel in a long time and you come up in my feed today. Haha this is a crazy set up and sounds amazing!.
Welcome back!
@@dimsunk Yes man. I need to check your channel more often. You're an inspiration. Hearing other great players really motivates me to experiment and try new things while I'm learning drums. It's been almost a year now that I've been playing! Heres to another year.
Wow! This is some great loop carnage!
Glad you like it!
Love your style man. Long time follower first time commenting.
Awesome! Thank you!
The thing which is the most awe-inspiring is that nearly every piece of the set has a 'clipped' sustain, enough where it harmonizes the various sounds. Hard to explain, but it's like the 'bubbles' making up the sound wall feel _smooth_ from all sides, as you're sort of *rolling* against it. Tumbly bumbly✨
absolutely vibing, love to see it
What a groove man ! Excellent disto by the way. The best is the source, the better it sounds !
The little high hat hits are amazing
I love it dude!
so heavy ngl
Wow, omg! I didn't see this one coming.... It's AWESOME!
Glad you like it!
sound great!
I asked you if you listened to Milford Graves some time ago and you said you should listen to him more… I’ll take this as proof you did. Great job as always!
81 years of dedication: Milford has always been an uncompromising free drummer, same as Tony Oxley, for example; Dimsunk is tastefully creative and a master in clarity and pocket play. by far the best percussion channel ever.
This is great!
I'm glad to see that at least one other person besides myself, hears great rhythm in machinery.
I first noticed it about thirty years ago while working electrical repair jobs in several machine shops in my area.
I'd refer to one shop as the "Jazz Shop", one as the Rock n Roll shop, one as the Western Swing shop... Several places made different things and each place always had it's own specific rhythms.
I always enjoyed working days at these places, but for some stupid reason, I never had the foresight to take a recorder along to capture the unique cadences I heard in those buildings.
look up industrial music
@@user-xu4xw6jm7d oh yes! I've actually been a pro musician for 35 years.
It was a bit before "Industrial" was a genre, that I was working on those different job sites and started realizing how incredible the rhythms were.
I sure do wish that I'd have recorded them!
Probably could have been one of the Proginators of the Industrial movement 😁
Amazing! One of your best yet!
Glad you think so!
Wow this is awesome!
Thanks!
Love this! Funky, groovy and grimy. Great job!
Thanks so much!
WOW that SLAPS
Perfect for Old school Hip Hop!!!!!!
You should do movies, there's SO MUCH pathos in these beats!
This has like horror and fight scene vibes mixed together
Nice set up....Sounds perfect !
You are groovin my dude
coolest kit i've ever heard i think. damn dude i hope your day has been amazing
I adore your creativity, man! So sick
Thank you! Cheers!
holy cow... the creativity is off the charts.
Thx!
man the amount of pictures this paints in my head...of a far distant future with giaaant skyskrapers that touch clouds, there isnt alot of sunlight, very Altered Carbon type of vibe
This is amazing, you're an inspiration to all musicians and artists in general. Please keep on sharing your creations
Thank you so much!
That... was... epic!!!
Thx!
Really cool, love it 👽
I have no clue what you use as the "snare", but I love how it bounces back and makes a second jingle. Wonder if that dictates the timing of the rhythm (:
De l'imagination et du talent, vraiment bien joué!!
Merci 🙏
Wow! Amazing.
"Day 333 of quarantine - I've regressed into a primal cave man but I'm playing some killer beats."
man you can literally just make anything sound amazing
very cool Max....love it
Thx !
Wonderful result...unique !!!...thanks for sharing it with us.Wish you the best !!!!

Good to see ya checking out the 0-1 philosophies.
This is some of the coolest, most unique shit I’ve seen.
That was fricking sweet!
Absurdly creative
your ear is just incredible. masterful drummer who can control every aspect of the sound.
Brilliant drumming
One of the coolest things I’ve seen and heard
Great kit
Absolutely madman.
Whoa very kewl!!
Wow!
Wonderful
Thank you! Cheers!
What can I say that hasn't been said already? We love you, MAX.
Thx so much 🙏
very sick i love it man
Appreciate it!
That wrecked crash cymbal sounded brilliant. All attack and no sustain 👌🏻
The lampshade sounded surprisingly big
i freakin love it!
Gooooosh) Dude it;s cosmic!
