    This is what I’ve always said. Those that are against mawlid should just keep their mouth shut instead of calling it innovation. Those that celebrate the best of creation, good for them. The amount of wahabi/salafi sect finger pointing and is extremely annoying and hateful.

    When Abu Bakar r.a was the Caliph, did He celebrate it?
    When Umar was the Caliph, did He celebrate it,
    When Uthman was the Caliph, did He celebrate it?
    When Ali was the Caliph, did He celebrate it?
    None of them celebrate it

    And Indeed every sane Muslim would be joyful at the birth of the Beloved Prophet ﷺ except for Shaytan and his counterparts, as stated:
    اَنَّ إِبْلِيْسَ رَنَّ أَرْبَعَ رَنَّاتٍ: حِيْنَ لُعِنَ، وَحِيْنَ أُهْبِطَ وَحِيْنَ وُلِدَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰه صلّى اللّٰه عليه وسلّم وَحِيْنَ أُنْزِلَتِ الْفَاتِحَةُ
    "Iblis cried loudly four times, first when Allah declared him as cursed, second when he was thrown out, Third When Prophet ﷺ was born and fourth when Surah al-Fatiha was revealed."
    Reference:
    ►Ibn Kathir in Al Bidayah wan-Nihayah, Volume No. 2, Page No. 291
    Who else cries out in anger and has a bunch of negative things to say when we speak about the birth of our Beloved?

    To be honest, Islam is quite straightforward with its rulings. If we find ourselves needing to take a long route just to make a simple point, then perhaps it's better to avoid it. Even if there's just a 1 percent chance that any act we do is an innovation (bid'ah), staying away from it is the better option, as I wouldn't want the Prophet (pbuh) to turn his back on me.
    PS: I do appreciate the video because I see a lot of people celebrate it just because their forefathers does it but you're the first person I saw how tried to defend it. JazakAllah.

    • @purityandaspiration
      @purityandaspiration 4 месяца назад

      Assalamu Alaikum brother. I appreciate you giving your opinion. But based on what knowledge and studying are you claiming “Islam is quite straightforward with its ruling”? I mean you certainly arent claiming you know all the rulings and how the 'ulama got to them, are you? The straightforward things were given straightforward rulings, sure. But there are many complex fiqh related issues which are explained in a straightforward way for the masses but they are in no way straightforward themselves. Islam has always been nuanced even with the simple rulings. If you truly go for pursuing an academic knowledge, you'll see that very clearly inshaAllah.
      And Allah knows best.

    Haven't we got more pressing issues to attend to maybe ?The Sahabah (ra) delayed the burrial of the Prophet s.a.w. for the sake of protecting unity and leading and implementing the Deen by appointment of a Khalifah.
    Today blood is spilled in and around Bayt al-Maqdis. Can we all not just focus on a vital matter for a moment and leave our theological philosophy discussions for a time of luxury ?

    • @UmarElhashmi
      @UmarElhashmi  11 месяцев назад +6

      It doesn’t really matter what people do.
      Nikah and Walima is a Sunnah, yet a large number of Muslims from Muslim countries in their cultural practices include all sorts of haram things in their weddings.
      That doesn’t change the ruling in Islam.
      We denounce the haram that happens. But the origin of the act is a good thing
      In order to get this people need to know the very definition of what is being spoken of when these Fatwas are given.
      If I say Walima is Sunnah, it doesn’t refer to what all those people do that includes Haram.
      If I say Mawlid is Mustahabb, it doesn’t refer to what all those people do that includes Haram.
      This was why the very first thing I did was define what is meant by the Mawlid according to the scholars who have allowed it and all my teachers
      After watching this video, one realizes that these haram things are explicitly denounced, and only the acts that are approved by Islam are what is recommended to do, and all of that is proven by Quran and Sunnah
      I even made very clear the hypocrisy of some people who say they’re happy at the prophet ﷺ being born but then do everything in contradiction to what He ﷺ said such as the haram things that happen- these are never defended by any scholar
      So sure many people include what they want in the mawlid. Don’t do that, don’t listen to that, don’t attend that, don’t follow it- and if they cared to follow Quran and Sunnah, they would act with knowledge and not ignorance as they do

      When they gathered together on their own, they did so with the reason of: Thanking Allah for what Allah has bestowed upon them (Islam) ‘through you’
      من الله علينا بك
      This is exactly what the Halaqah of Mawlid is. No different to what the Sahabah did, except that we do it as a recurring event and no doubt that’s allowed to be done
      Regarding the Halaqaat of Tafseer for example, this is the exact same thing, just switch the topic of tafseer to salawat on the prophet ﷺ and reciting his seerah
      If tafseer is not a new matter in Deen, then subjects such as Aqeedah are, yet they’d be allowed
      The sahabah gathered to study tafseer yes, but they never gathered to study aqeedah. Aqeedah as a subject and science came much later
      And lastly regarding fasting, we do fast on Monday every week as the prophet ﷺ did in gratitude of the blessing of his birth ❤️
