Thank you for a thorough review. The directions were a tad hard to decipher, but I am quite confident that I know what to do now. this is my first robovac and I feel that I made an excellent choice
Thanks to great reviews like yours, I just purchased this model, and received it 3 days ago. So far, I like it. My previous robot vac was a Neato D7, which I had for six years, before the company stopped supporting it, and it became nonfunctional. Grrr. I think the Neato app was better at defining no-go lines, and it allowed saving zones, which I found very useful. The Neato also hugged the walls and no-go lines better. However, what I do like more about the Roborock Q5+ is the option to vacuum an area more than once, and the terrific bin emptying dock. The Neato had to be manually emptied every other run, which got annoying. I'll be adding some soft touch stick-on pads around the body off the Q5+ since I think it's a little too harsh on wall baseboards and furniture legs. Already getting some marring on those. Hopefully Roborock will be around a lot longer than Neato was so the money spent was worth while.
I'm very happy with this vacuum. I had just steam cleaned the carpet in the main bedroom including a deep vacuum a week prior so I thought I'd test the Q5. To my surprise, it filled the reservoir after one cleaning. I assume it either went very deep or possibly the soap reside of the steam cleaning.
Funny story my buddys dog is potty training and he didnt check before it ran and spread dog poo throughout his house. I thought it was so funn he didnt agree lol
I love the reviews on everything that you do
