- This is gonna be SO fun!
Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

Ethan Cracked me up! College kids up at 6 AM? That's unheard of! He did a great job holding down the fort while yal were gone!
I am so proud of Ethan. He is a really responsible young man. I wasn't as responsible as him when I was that age. Don't forget to tell him that. Ethan you are doing great. And you make everyone proud, keep it up.

How about sliding pocket doors? Then you won't have to worry about which way the doors will open. These type of doors work great in small places. Tell Ethan that he could be cleaning out a grease trap, one of my many fun jobs for summer break. All the goat babies are so adorable 🥰.

Aww what a good guy that Ethan! Our 17 year old delivered his first set of baby goats this year, I was so proud. We had a function to be at and he stepped right up!

I think it would be hilarious if you did genetic possibilities between you and Kevin , like you do for the goats during breeding season. Just because you mentioned Lydia's hair color and people wondering where it came from.

Have you ever considered retaining a buck from River and breeding it to Daphne or retaining a buck from Daphne and breeding it to River just to see if the two lines together produce a great doe?

The pooltable was an exciting move I once bought a pooltable for my son in law had him go see it before. So he could see if it was worth but they had to take it down to the basement two flights of stairs. Scared me to death. Lol. Your move was a lot smoother

No idea if this would work, but what if instead of a tiny window you had a sliding glass door for the bedroom and moved the front door over a little more for that to work? More light would come in and you’d have more accessible ways to get in and out of the cottage! Or maybe that would look too weird or not be functional, but just an idea!

I honestly grew up watching your kids grow up with me and I’m so proud to see where they are in life now. I’m almost 20 and I couldn’t wish for a better life to give my future kids, thank you for being the best example and for the love that radiates from your videos. 💜
Kevin, I commend you on your thriftiness, however it's time to buy new sandals. Wear your sneakers when you're working at the cottage. You need to wear something which gives more support and protects your feet on uneven surfaces. You guys are doing a great job!

why not just keep the garage door and just put some wire (Kevin will figure lol) across the door but not touching the door to hang a curtain or something and just open it up whenever. looks unique to me, get all those natural light as much as you can. there might be an explanation to that on the previous videos but I forgot already lol
