@@oleksandrhrytsaiwoodcarvin1051 To me, your work is amazing. You can see the entire completed piece in your head. The amazing part is you create pieces of the helmet and then join all the pieces together. From there start the actual carving of the piece. I could never do this. I can't imagine the size nor shape of the various pieces that you cut out to then join together and then carve. That is what I meant about not being able to wrap my head around it. You have a gift. And you make beautiful things. That is something I cannot do.....but I can admire your work. I am sorry for the confusion of my previous post.

Thanks for the comment. An interesting mask, I will add to my collection. It will not be easy to make such a mask, the horns sticking out in different directions greatly complicate the creation.

Thanks). Oak wood, ash can be used. The finish is simple, black stain, brown stain, oil at the end. When you do, please share the result

hey Oleksandr what Program did you use to create the Templates for the Layer? Great work!!
I used 3ds max, zbrush, core draw and photoshop. Not an easy job, making patterns sometimes takes longer than making a helmet out of wood.

I made the first two helmets myself. Then I started looking for ready-made models on the Internet. Even from finished models a lot of work.
