I keep all of the old Jefferson design nickels. I must have 100lbs worth of them. Everything from 2003 and before. Having said that, I collect them passively in change I get back. I've never gone to the bank and tried to buy a bag or a box of nickels. I do the same thing with pre-'82 Lincoln cents. I just got a 1953D Wheat cent in my change last night. Anyway, keep searching!
