Plot twist, the first section of the video he was talking to a random guy on the range and the shooter didn't want to be rude and tell him to leave him alone, if you watch it with this in mind its quite funny
I worked quite a bit on my stance with the course videos a few times cause my weight changed and depending on what I do I have to think about a backpack too. Having boots on helps with the support on the ankles. Atm I can't try it with different uneven surfaces to shake things up.
Pay attention to the shins. Push with the shins forward and relax the knees and ankles like you are pushing a vehicle that doesn't want to start. is quite similar to pushing forward on the ski boots if you're skiing. 👍🏻 Relaxing the lower part of your body is important to achieve stability.
That´s all BS! It´s a parasympathetic movement and it´s NOT a matter of posture. The nervous system will make you do it regardless, subconsciously based on a trigger mechanism (like the sound of the shot). The same thing when a person blinks the eyes when they start shooting. until they get used to the blast if the shot and stop doing it naturally. The only way to fight this is to practice a lot, to try focus on the pulling movement of the trigger and let the shot surprise you every time, until your brain understands that it does not need to compensate for the recoil.
This was so zen.
