    Also to be noted that the airflow rate of the airbrush will affect the pressure drop. A high volume low pressure will have a more pronounce effect on the pressure delta. The point is its not a set it and forget it setting. It may even vary from various airbrushes of the same type. Good information to share!

    Speaking of compressors, pressure, and the Fortress series, it's worth turning down the max cut off and min restart pressure on those. I did mine and it runs wayyy less and doesn't get nearly as warm as it used to. I'll never use it for anything but my airbrush and blowing dust off of stuff so absolutely no need for 135psi.

    I got to take an airbrushing class over the weekend. 4 Timbertech compressors going at the same time, and we had no problems hearing the instructor. Going to get one to replace my current compressor, which is loud as heck.

    This is timely, I just bought a new air compressor yesterday because the one I already got doesn't seem to be filling up air enough. It was working normally for about two-three years and just started acting up a few months ago.

    I purchased the Amazon compressor a few years back. It was a great price only $125 AU. And it came with an airbrush and cleaning kit. It runs great and I’ve never had an issue with it. I always enjoy your videos. I’m working on doing my own budget hobby channel. It will focus on DIY Hints and Tips for the hobby space, as well as reviews and miniature and terrain builds and painting. I’m currently creating my own personal range of paints using the mica powders you had in your last video. I had already purchased the 144 colour pack from the US and it got here a fortnight ago. I already have acrylic medium, and binding resin if needed, just waiting on some surfactant to aid flow and some stabiliser to improve coverage and help keep the colours looking great. Very excited. Happy Easter Rex.

    I'd love to get your new paints, but the shipping cost is prohibitively expensive at $40 for postage to the UK. It's not Splash Paints fault and they have kept me well informed so no issues with them. I wanted the first paints issue at a cost of $85, which I wanted to pay, but held back after the cost rose to $120 for 5 paints. I'm still an avid fan of your videos, but I will have to be more cautious when ordering stuff from the USA. Keep up the great videos.😀🏍

    I have a Tootie and it's real difficult to fine tune the PSI/bar. I have to turn the knob quite a bit to get the needle to move, and when it does move, it jumps several PSI up or down. A little annoying but I manage.

    Thank you for this guide! I notice however that not all gauges have the same design. The amazon specifically has red psi compared the your other samples. I have the amazon one, and got to admit its a bit hard to read since the gauge has few lines with only 0 to 40 written on it. Does anyone have tips on how to read?

    I got a Master Airbrush Model Tc-320 I am trying to get my compressor psi up to 80. It wont go up to go passed 60 psi but I need to get to 80 to use for the copic airbrush so I can use for my markers. Can you turn up the psi that far? or is there something wrong with the tank? If the air compressor wont let me what air compressor do you suggest to get?

    I got the one on amazon last year. i noticed that the moisture trap (thing) stays at about a 45 degree angle, is that why you have an attachment? one thing that took me some time to figure out because I couldn't find any information on was that i had to use an Allen Wrench to tighten it on the side of the attachment (facing the camera). The reason was because when I tried to bring the pressure down to 15-20 (probably would start in the mid to high 20s) it was leaking air. I couldn't find anything about that. All reviews of it showed them putting the attachment on and adjusting the pressure (like in this video). I'm not sure if that is normal or if I was somehow expected to know
    Another question. Do you empty the tank when you are done? I normally do, but I don't have a specific reason.

    • @barbatosrex9473
      @barbatosrex9473  4 месяца назад +2

      Yes I empty the tank every night. You can remove the moisture trap from the compressor and just go with one like mine attached to the airbrush
