I might try finding an ultrasonic frequency that could shatter the aged epoxy into shards or grains. If the vibrational frequency is strong enough it could exploit the breakdown of the older epoxy. Also, one might try exposing the external material to intense cold and then raise the temperature quickly, in a similar manner one. Night try to induce checking into a nitro finish.

Especially since nobody can play it again Even if you could get it out of the resin, it would need new pickups and tuners, at least, which could be cool, but it would cost you more in time, effort and money than it would be worth, even if you don’t ruin it. I have so much say about nu metal. But I'll say this, you're doing a lot of incredibly talented composers and musicians a lot of injustice in this episode. Like, first wave "nu metal" was really something special. Deftones, Rage, Incubus, KoRn, and some other acts were all kind of running in the same circles at the same time. Slipknot isn't really nu metal, either, they're by at least my reckoning, metal if not technical metal.
I don't think nu metal was influential in the 90s. The albums that really kicked off the genre were very late 90s or early 2000s. Please do not try to besmirch the entire 90s decade with that trash. People called Korn nu metal retroactively, but they really don't fit the mold. Korn themselves hated that anybody called them that. Bands like LB embraced the label.
It's up there as a top episode for sure, however both of your haircuts are defintiely the best they've ever looked, excellent work guys

Epoxy resin can be dissolved with the right chemicals. Plain acetone can do it sometimes at least to soften it enough to scrap off.

Steve Vai pretty much popularized the 7 string before Korn, also Morbid Angel. But yeah Korn also was one the first to tune lower than B standard.

As a cheap “proof of concept” experiment, you could encase an inexpensive Epiphone in epoxy, and then try to chisel it out.
