For me anything without possibly being seated is a 'Gig', if seating possible then 'Show', if fully seated 'Concert' unless you're allowed to stand up in your seat at some point that reverts to 'Show'. Probably also depends on the artist: the Berlin Philharmonic is always a concert, even if they set up in your living room. Daft Punk playing in your house is a Gig.
The Streisand Effect is a delay pedal where the delays just get louder and louder and you can't turn it off Edit: Ryan you're sitting there with a Bass VI behind you saying you'll have to find a bass with a wiggle stick!
Hell yes I’d buy a new squier katana! Proper headstock, proper logo, single humbucker, single volume, trem bridge. Editing to add that I’d want something like hot pink for the color though.
I have one of the recent Japanese Katana Basses, and I would totally buy one of the guitars if they released these in the HM Strat colours. it'll be my 80s/90s metal guitar.
Years ago, I had a Squier Katana. I loaned it to a girlfriend I was seeing at the time, she was learning to play. Unfortunately, the guitar was stolen out of her car. Never lend a guitar ever again. Lol. I agree, tell Fender/Squier to bring back the Katana!!
Hey thanks for spending time on the 3D printing. When we are living on the Moon Amazon will be ready to deliver to our door ;) Yeah, I was having similar thoughts about the feasibility of actually printing a useful body. My thought being, if I have an inexpensive guitar, therefore I have parts, seeing where this could be taken, this might be a fun tinkering project with the available parts; the idea being to make something unique. It would be a one-off. I'd seen some projects where people went further, builds from scratch, but that doesn't look very cost effective to me if you have to order all the other bits. One might as well buy a guitar. My son has a couple of 3D printers (resin and filament) and he prints all sorts of accessories for the games he plays. Some of that is really interesting and detailed. It kind of had me thinking about sculptural surfaces, textures, etc., that being the presentation of themes related to music/musicians. I hadn't seen any designs specifically for surf so my first thought was that in any design there are particular unique qualities a surf guitar absolutely has to have. Might be a fun project some day. Thanks again for taking the time to discuss the idea and tech of 3D printing! :D
The St. Vincent guitars look like they were designed by Hanna-Barbera. I'm pretty sure Josie, of the Pussycats, played a prototype, and possibly as early as George Jetson. But I think the design was fairly standard at the time. ...I really want one.
I feel like a bass with a wiggle stick would be pretty useful for pop music these days; there's a lot of melodic basslines happening and smooth slides between notes are pretty common. I could see it tastefully done.
I would buy a Squier Kitana reissue in a Noo Yawk minute. White or black body would be OK but I would prefer the superior color for all Fender guitars--Lake Placid Blue Metallic. Humbucker-single would be great but I would prefer a tone control to go with the volume control. Fixed bridge would be fine; Fender vibrato would work as well. David Bowie may be afraid of Americans but I am afraid of Floyd Rose.
A katana with a offkilltertron in aged cream like in that jazz masrer. no neck pickup. You could also put a jazz master trem on it for fun I would make it a old fashend red orange like a gretsh so I could call it the flash garden yhe knobs would be retro sify as for the look
I m amazed at how many fellow Montrealers i hearing getting mentions in guitar-related channels .I like th St.vinncent uke but thinking about how ridiculous and small Keisl/carvin Allen Holdworth is, imagine it in ukelele? it it would have the body the size a Jem and the Holograms Dolls axe
What Fender / Spuier should do whit that Katana? They should do a Katana Bass VI in piano black with silver sparkle in it …👍😃 And you do have a bass with a wiggle stick.. : you have a fender bass VI don’t you ?
It is nearly a Star Wars battle cruiser. Maybe a stormtrooper helmet headstock. They could do a Darth Vader in black with built in evil. Called the light Sabre only it’s a guitar. A millennium Falcon one would be cool and the crew compartment could be a giant volume knob.
I had one of these in the early 90’s. Similar quality to Epiphone. For sitting I put a Steinberger flip out leg rest on it which worked well. I’d have one for a reasonable price but 900 is not reasonable for it. I picked up a 90’s Korean 3/4 size Epi Explorer more recently that does the same thing but cheaper and better. Guess what… I put a Floyd in it 😅
If I could get my hands on a squier katana,I would tweak the eff out of it. I would refinish it (shoreline gold) and replace the cheezy pickup with some Guitar Fetish pickups gold foils and hardtail it. Then put a lefty stratocaster neck on it.
You'd need one that could print at the .1 micron level , record grooves are tiny. A tone arm/needle applies 10,000 lbs. per square inch and it just weighs 1 gram. That shows how small the diamond is and grooves are
Guitars are already produced with CNC milling. But having FDM 3D printers and experience using them I'm giving anything made with FDM 3D priniting a big pass. You're gonna have stability issues just for starters. Might be cute but it will be trash.
The whole point most people switch to RUclips is to avoid adds & commercials. I pay for premium to avoid ads. I don’t subscribe to any channel that does this. Plenty of other good channels that don’t abuse their subscribers with ads non stop.
Plastic guitars sound like plastic. A friend had 2 Vs from the same Luthier, one w a multi species wood body, one made of Lucite. The wood one sounded like a guitar. The Lucite one sounded like it was made by Mattel. Unless folks are going to debate " Tone Plastic" , stick to wood
Loved that St. Vincent guitar ever since it came out. Agree, the most innovative design in recent history.
Little St. Vincent is glorious. Excellent.
For me anything without possibly being seated is a 'Gig', if seating possible then 'Show', if fully seated 'Concert' unless you're allowed to stand up in your seat at some point that reverts to 'Show'.

Katana is my dream guitar. I'm no metal shredder but I'll play country and blues on a katana and be in heaven
The Streisand Effect is a delay pedal where the delays just get louder and louder and you can't turn it off

They released a Fender Katana Japan Ltd Ed about 3 years ago. It had their own version of a Floyd with 2 HB.
They also had a signature Katana bass for a Japanese player within the last 3 years.
I’ve got the shell pink one.
I will surely buy a Squier/Fender katana and but a Floyd rose and EMG 85 on it ❤
I have one of the recent Japanese Katana Basses, and I would totally buy one of the guitars if they released these in the HM Strat colours. it'll be my 80s/90s metal guitar.
I would buy it. Same color, Hum,single+floyd twang bar. Original cool headstock logo.
Somebody 3D print the fellas a couple of mini Squier Katanas.

Theyre demos. There is value. We enjoy it. 33:00
WFMU plays the Beths often. I've also heard the Surfrajets there too.
52:25 that’s basically how they make the robots in Westworld
Omg that Squier logo!!!! The font reminds me of the greatest logo ever which is the Peavey logo… crazy that Hartley drew it himself in high school😊
It's time to squier to reissue the coronado
I'd really like a modernised, hardbtail katana reissue. 25.5 scale, 24 fret, I like the HS pickup config idea.
The Beths are so fun, that would be a great show!
Katana with tri bucker😊
@26:30 the st. vincent is in the explorer family imo. Explorers deserve their day in the sun without having anything to do with smelly metal fans.
ryan does have a bass with a wiggle stick. it's blue, he uses it regularly
Fender VI?
Also, the Arrow, bring back the Fender Arrow!
“Neeeeeshhhhhh”
St. Vincent shape is basically an explorer with the corner of the upper bout cut off and the horn cut off. Don't get me wrong I own one and love it.
Hows access to the upper frets ? It seems like it could have been cut to give better ergonomics

Sometimes not having the best support network can induce a bit of burnout too.
No man is an island ☮️
We need a squire katana with a Floyd and reverse headstock.

I love that uke!
Maybe if the katana had a ''Berger kick stand so it could be played sitting
Squier give me a Katanaaaa!!!!
Time for a Squier Paranormal Katana with Tele bridge, pickups and tele control plate
A katana with a offkilltertron in aged cream like in that jazz masrer. no neck pickup. You could also put a jazz master trem on it for fun I would make it a old fashend red orange like a gretsh so I could call it the flash garden yhe knobs would be retro sify as for the look
if Squier do a 400 to 500 E Katana i'll buy it

Yes!! I would like to 4 & 5 string basses!!

Lol, I posted about putting on a 'Berger kick stand before I read this.
I'd buy a Katana BUT...I want a matching headstock

Prices online are awful, and no one is buying.
Comment for 37:00 Statement: Canadians are not nice... We're polite or passive aggressive, big difference.
Katana's not my thing, but a Paranormal Meteora with Jag pickups and combination switches? That's my dream...
Well, that's a whole different thing... is it not?
@Michael_Birk that's how the word but operates
@@iain2080 BUT still, the Katana is gonna feel dejected by the Meteora.
My question is can you 3d print a vinyl record album?

Pozdrawiam serdecznie z Francji 👍👏🎸💯
lightning bolt white body with a yellow burst, and an ebony black fretboard.
Are we in the trust tree?
I bought the limited edition fender katana bass from Japan… it’s what everyone says, super uncomfortable to play. Looks great though.
I’d very unsure about the jingle
My Epi Mandobird VIII sound like a mandolin
But maybe because it’s an 8 string?
$1000 for a Squier from THAT ERA IS A GOOD PRICE???? 👍
I would love to get my hands on a Katana but they are too expensive like the Hello Kitty model just over priced.
squier katana short sclae bass please
especially if the katana had a Strat neck pocket, so I can put my aluminum neck on it. the balance would be awful but I dont even care man
If you say "neetch" one more time ...

Specifica is just S of SF....
Squire Katana into Boss Katana.....ultimate toan.

Don’t watch if you’re avoiding ads so hard. They’re getting paid to do ads.

Vibrato on bass is as useless as 3d printed guitars 😅
Over monetized, 🤙🏽 unsubscribed🤙🏽
