An old timer here. I served in the Navy from 1983-1987. Originally I was going to go in as a Journalist, but that didn't end up working out. That job would have required 5 years. I ended up going to the fleet undesignated, and eventually became a Signalman striker. I did make Third Class Petty Officer as a signalman, so all ended up fine with me.
I work for Boeing and am about to go into the Airforce. Boeing will not only keep my job, but they look highly at military personnel. I have a lot of co-workers who have already served and they would hire more military people faster then civilians. ☺️
Hi this is speaking to my soul the mental healthcare technician job. My ideal long term goal would be to become a social worker at a school as a civilian which requires a MSW degree. My question is after serving 4 or 6 yrs in the Air Force do they cover the cost for you to earn your bachelors and masters degree?
can I still get this job if I have a bachelors degree in psychology or will they want me to be an officer? I’m trying to figure out if it is best to go enlisted or the officer route
