Working out order from rate tables (more difficult example)

  • This tough nut to crack involves a rate table where concentration of reactants change on more than one reagent making it less obvious what effect that reagent has on rate. Take a look at this video to find out what I mean exactly. Hope this method will help!

    Brilliantly explained. I shall use your "interim rate" technique and dividing the two numbers from now. That makes it much easier.

    AWESOME! question @6:28 , when he says find the DIFFERENCE between interim and intitial, is that intended to be the QUOTIENT? also is it always the larger quotient to smaller? or interim quotient to initial? THANK YOU!

    This may be a silly question but what if the numbers in the table haven’t quite doubled but are close enough? Would you still round it and say “yeah that’s doubled” ?

    what happens if say (A) is divided by 2 but the rate is times 2 then would this cancel to 0 order?
