My daughter got seriously heat sick at Epcot. I was amazed at how well the cast members took care of her and got her to a health care area. They got her cooled down and a return to hotel for a rest made her good as good can be. While it was scary, I remember it as a bright spot in terms of customer service.

I have been going to Disney for the last 25 years but about 8 years ago our attendance tapered off due to price and mostly it has gone from a hassle free day to a convoluted overpriced experience. if I was going to Disney i would view your videos for they are very helpful. but they do confirm my belief that Disney is way over complicated and niversal has provided a better experience not requiring so much planning.

As someone who goes to Disney biannually, even I agree with you here. I personally love the planning because my older two kids and I do it together, but if I didn’t have their help, I’d hire a TA without hesitation. A good one will even book your LLs for you while you’re in the parks and it doesn’t cost you a dime more than doing it yourself. I offer winter why more folks don’t use one.
Also, with a 20, 15, and 5 yo (and a 43 yo husband), would you say it’s time for us to give Uni a go again? It’s been 10 years since we visited and I’d like to know more about what uni has to offer and why you prefer it, overall, now. There’s tons of vids, but it’s nice to hear from someone who is a regular guest sometimes. No pressure, if you don’t have time to reply, but interested in your take if you do! Thanks! Have a great day😊

Disney's GENIE+ has been disolved due to a law suit that started shortly after it started. It turns out that the person that presented it to Disney had actually stole it from another company that hadn't launched it yet. Upon learning that Disney has done 2 things. 1) Gone on the deffence & 2) Sterted creating something new. This is the resault of something new which really goes to show Disney creativity as they went back to Fastpass, just a paid version!

At no extra cost to you, you can have a TA do all your planning, even booking your lightning lanes while you’re there if you get a good one. Or, if flying by the seat of your pants doesn’t stress you, you can go without a plan and just do what crosses your path. Just a thought… if we were to stand on the side of the street and scream that there was a turtle in the road, then ask cars to please not hit it, many might not, but eventually someone likely would; however, if we were to take action and move the turtle, he’d very likely be much safer. The same goes for complaining about Disney. I’m not saying it’s not okay to vent. It absolutely is! But if we want true change, we’re going to have to pull our support and make this billion dollar company feel it in their pockets.
I’m personally not at a point that I’m ready to stop patronizing. It still brings so much joy to my family. But! I see so many of you feeling very slighted and I want them to hear you! I also know as a former travel planner, you’ve got to pull support, in large numbers, for them to do that. It breaks my heart to see so many of you feeling let down by them, even though I really have no financial stock in people showing up anymore. I always tried to be honest and tell people if Disney seemed to be a good fit for them. It makes me sad what used to bring so much joy brings so much negativity now.
We will likely NEVER get the old Disney back, but I think some things could change if we stopped screaming on the side of the street and moved the turtle. The question is, has it gotten bad enough that you’re ready to do that? If that’s a yes for you, take that action. Others might follow and you might get some actual change.

When we stayed at the Dolphin they closed the pool , with no notice , for a private event. We couldn’t use the pool for the afternoon and evening so decided to have a nap. No joy the noise of music went on until late into the evening. So, the non Disney resorts in the Epcot area have their issues too. There were also no buses for a couple of days. It was not all sunshine, they are convention hotels so have a different vibe…..just sharing to give others the heads up.
We mostly had a good holiday anyway…

I plan to go to Hollywood studios on Aug. 9 and the app is saying I can’t purchase the multi pass until August 6 at 7 am even tho our first day in the parks is Aug. 8. There are easy ways to cut costs and to maximize time. All it takes is a little preparation and planning. For instance, a Disney Visa card is the best credit card I ever got. I pay my regular bills on it as much as possible and every year I take my trip with a $1000 rewards card that I earn through points. Can't get a dining reservation? Buy a month of mousedining. It's never failed me in snagging a meal for my group at exactly the place I want. Hate waiting outside the gate? Go an hour after opening instead of at rope drop. Tired? Take a break to go back to your hotel midday, and come back later in the eve. Or ride the train or monorail around the park for a while. Consider watching the fireworks from a resort instead of in the middle of park crowds so you can go to bed after them instead of fighting for travel back. I've honestly never had a bad time with these few simple tips, and I know several more.

People prebooking today are finding rides were already sold out before they could make their first picks

I’m not surprised… that’s what I remember from fast pass +, I couldn’t get good rides for the first days of my stay. I hope it’s only because it’s new and a lot of people are buying it to try it

@@pikminscool you think we cannot get to ride without this pass? We have been going to disney for 30 years, it may be getting to complicated for us seniors. We were always able to get in at least the standby line. Regards, John
