I’m sorry that I don’t see that way as an outsider. In fact, Puerto Ricans, who are less “Black(especially on the surface)”: acknowledge their “Black” blood more than actual Dominicans. So much so that when light-skinned Ricans came to the US, they intermingled with “Black” people because their plight was similar(Ricans have been a colony for 531 years). But anyway, everyone has their opinion and way of thinking.

We need to push back HARD. They are getting very bold with it too. So much so, that they go to DR; film Haitians and then say that those Haitians are Dominicans.Then when they see light skin Dominicans they sort of throw tantrums and try to take away their ''Dominicaness" Like if they get to decide and tell DOMINICANS who we are as a people and tell us our own history. They are very outta Line and Dominicans have been very slow on correcting this.
