This app was brilliant for my mum who had dementia and was always walking and we knew where she was when she went walkabout ..its a thumbs up from me👍

As a parent who has used a family locator app on my children's phones for years, I will say that it is not about hovering, but knowing they are safe. If they every end up stuck somewhere, I can easily locate them. It only becomes a trust issue, when the person using it is a nut-case and always asking questions about where, what, who, why and when. A friend of mine son was riding a motorcycle and was run off the road. He called them but he passed out before he could tell them where he was. His parents were able to help the paramedics find him. That probably saved his life. So I don't want to hear people bad mouthing this type of app. Helicopter parents don't need an app to hover.
Yeah I respect that, but most of the parents wont use it like you do, for everyone using this app like you there are another 5 using it to spy on their kids
You’re giving all the more reason for us not to use life 360. All the app did was the most basic level of location sharing, which could have easily been achieved with less intrusive alternatives e.g. literally sharing your location on any social media

@@jessicalamb8736 I'm not arguing that it's illegal. I'm arguing that it's unethical. Even teenagers have to have privacy. I mean, they're going to go off to college or employment after high school. Will these parents continue to mistrust them then as well? They have to have some independence no matter if that might expose them to some danger. That's life.
Funny how my daughter loaded and taught me how to use it. Neither of us has ever shut it off. Great peace of mind for both of us...
Been using this app for nearly 4 years now. The subscription is only really needed if your kids are driving already and you want to get that driving report. Just make sure you have a conversation with the kids first about why you're asking them to install the app. This is not an app for location spying since they can turn off GPS or just uninstall the app if they want. They need to trust you just like you need to trust them.
How do you shut their phone off when it’s time for bed
So the kids have to have a phone for this to work?
People are saying this stuff causes trust issues and only controlling people use it, i mean its just not the case. This app is for tight families who look out and care for eachother, and if ur family isnt like that then im sorry. Its a really useful app beside tracking, such as the speed monitoring ECT.

This is great for me working my company on solo days since I do window washing and you never know the type of people you might run into and feeling safe that my family can know where I am at all times. Or for my father who is a Truck driver, or my mother who loves going on long walks in our somewhat sketchy neighborhood.
I showed this to my mom...and she immediately wanted to install it on my phone! Too late...I already did! Another way for her to keep tabs on me! Awesome!

I think eveyone is not understanding clearly how this app works. You have to opt-in for this to work meaning the app has to be installed on all devices to be tracked. if someone adds you to their phone you'll get a request for permission to download the app and to be followed.
Other than elderly and young teenage age (quite young kids), don't think it should be used for any other age group. Constant tracking (spying) will only cause more unnecessary issues and trust issues, that's just common sense.

I decided to just get this app cause my mom one time got lost in the middle of the city
She is 60 years old and she doesn’t speak a lick of english and got lost in a dangerous part and couldn’t ask for help due to the language barrier
And strictly only use it as a last resort if she can’t call, doesn’t know where she is, or if the people worst case scenario.
I wish I got her an iphone to use find my but times are hard with all these subscriptions

For all the parents out there thinking about making your kids install this, first think about if your parents did anything similar to this.
We live in a different time than when I was a kid. I have my mom on it, my 21 yro, my 19 yro, I am on it as well as my dad. We live in a world where there is too much going on and happening to people. Friends are setting friends up to be hurt, friends are taking their friends lives, and these apps help for people who travel and live far away from each other. I travel back and forth for work so it helps my kids know that I made it home. Just as much as it helps me know that my kids also made it to where they are safely. My dad as well he travels back and forth to work so its good to have if something was to happen and he couldnt call for help but one of us could that noticed he was not moving anymore from that location. When I was a kid all these things was not happening as much today, we did not have all this internet for people making fake profiles trying to meet people. There is a lot more going on and ways to just take these kids away and never be found again. Human Trafficking is real and it happens every day. Every 40 seconds is a estimated number of kids who are taken. Most of those will be under the age 21. I will cross the world for my kids and I want to be able to have every detail possible if I ever have to. It is scary to think someone can take your children and you never get to see them again some never know what happened or is happening to them. That is a fear but I didnt want it to stop my kids from getting to hang out with friends and going places. So this helps. They also know they dont have to lie to me about where they are going either so they tell me hey I am going here. Ok love you be careful every time they walk out the door. If the thing was to stop working or they was to go some where else i will just give them a call and say whats going on. Usually it would be oh we stopped and picked up this person first ok. Now if it was to turn off and I got no answer I would be worried but I would have a clue where they was last at right before it shut off. So if they wasnt the ones that shut it off which they dont then I know my girls need me. I do wish my kids got to grow up in the same world I did because yeah we didnt have all these cool things that we do today but it was a beautiful time and less stressful. Yeah there was still bad things happening but not as much as today. I dont know what age you are but if you are young I am sorry that you have to grow up in this world today. Just know its not the parents dont trust you its they love you and know that our world has changed and want to keep you safe.

I have the app. and it does not work at all . It does not give accurate information on family members , don’t know how to get it fixed. There is no support help desk. My Mom is elderly, at 90 years young she is still driving to and from work. The app never tracks her location. 😢

This life 360 isn’t worth a crap. When I first downloaded it a couple of years ago it worked fine but this latest version doesn’t work so great. With the older version I could watch my family members come down the road and see the exact moment they pull in the driveway but with this new version it will sit there and run and run and run then when it shows where they are out on the road there already several miles DOWN the road and this is with a Wi-Fi connection. ! I give this app two thumbs down! 👎👎

I wished we had added this app because my husband was missing all afternoon, at age 70? He was in the hospital and I didn’t get his location until the police notified me.
This all ruined my life to the point I rarely go out anymore. I'm 27 years old and my mom still uses this app track me. Luckily to anyone who has to deal with this there is a fake location app you can use to fake your location.

You will know if they turn off the location, you can ask them to turn on it
You can do it on Google maps for free share your location permanently
You can even set it so it tells you when they come back and go out

I'm frustrated! Can't actually TALK to a person. Can't find out some pertinent information with, their chat support. If you don't meet with their criteria of questions.....you can't type in a question, it'll give you 3 maybe 4 choices... Then there is no other option... Leaves you hanging... Yes you can always do a "snail mail". There wording - but then it says they'll email you back. What the heck😵💫‼️
I feel like this is just for women needing to track their husbands and find out what they are doing
So we do not live in the world that we lived in 20-30 years ago. We came home when street lights came on and could stay safely close to the house. Now we have internet creeps. Not only that we are in a whole new generation where how many times have you now heard the story of someones friends setting them up to get hurt or even the friends that took their friends lives. This is a way to always know where your kids are at and still let them go places. Because now when they say hey mom I am going here with this person we have something to look at. If it was to shut off some how or go some where else we call check if no answer first clue something might be wrong. Now we know where they just was though a few minutes before that. This will help someone one day if anyone was to try and maybe hurt someones child. Not only that for the people who travel for work during crap weather or just long drives. If a person has not moved from a side road for so long boom we call check and call for help. I am not worried about people knowing where I am at because I am not doing anything wrong.
