    “It’s not a tracking app”
Nope, all it does is tell you their exact location and what they’re doing at every moment of every day.
Helpful feature- you’ll get a notification if their phone battery gets below 10%. This allows you to remind them to charge their phone so the track- I mean- the information gathering won’t be disabled.

I’d be so pissed if my parent put this on my phone. There’s a level of respect of each other’s private lives that this sort of app compromises.
If someone wants to know where I am, I should be able to choose to let them know where I am not having them stalking me without me knowing.
This app is sus af. If you trust your child to drive you should be able to trust them to be left alone

@@noitallmanaz respect goes both ways. If a parent puts this on a child’s phone it shows they don’t respect privacy. If they’ve been that un-trust worthy to need this sort of app then they shouldn’t have access to the device to begin with.

I’m a professional driver. In every single one of our fleet vehicles, we have a camera installed and a tracker that tracks our location, speed, hard brake/acceleration/cornering, tech device use, distraction, and stop sign violations. It still annoys every one of us, after years: BUT, even in our personal cars, we do have safer driving habits. These are habits that people are accustomed to ignoring, but it’s keeping you safe. I’m 100% for this got new drivers, it makes sure they’re starting their driving journey forming safe habits and remaining alert to things they otherwise wouldn’t. It helps their habits in the future too.

But for rn the only time I turn on tracking is if I am driving somewhere and crash detection but I've decided at almost 20 I can pause my location and my parents can deal with it because I don't go anywhere anyways

This app is very controversial, however at the end of the day the app is just a tool and it is as good or evil as the person using it. Truly concerned and good parents can most certainly use it, with their children's blessing, just to make sure they stay safe. At the same time truly abusive people can use it to keep tabs on their children or spouses against their will to make sure they are always in control and cut off any hope of support.
The same things can be said about private investigators or indoor security cameras. They are all just tools.
