As I mentioned, music stopped being music after the introduction of, and subsequent overuse of, and overproduction with ProTools, Autotune, etc. I love technology as much as anyone, but overproducing robs music of its soul.
@@ExSkyCyclePilot: I didn't listen to music all that much from '88 to '92, but once I began listening again, everything had changed. It seemed every band that I knew had disappeared, and even those that remained, like Michael Jackson, and Madonna, had changed, and not for the better. Having said that, I truly wonder what happened. 1986 was a solid year, but '87 saw a drastic decline in listenability. I know something was in the works that led to this downward spiral, but I think it's more than Autotune, and ProTools, which doesn't explain the emergence of Paula Abdul, Jewel, and Hootie and the Blowfish, to name a few. It seems like the entire soft rock scene had completely changed, or no longer existed.
@@jacksquat4140 Back in the day, songwriters were independent, and shopped their songs on their own to anyone who would listen. Over time, corporations and boardrooms started calling the shots, and record companies started hiring staff songwriters. All that might have been a factor in the demise of music.

Does anyone think grease was a weird movie. I mean 30 year old people playing teenagers.
I thought it was corny.
it just plain sucked
@@mikeramp72 thank God some one thinks the same way. That shit just would not fly in this day and age. Old people thinking they are young. I mean they are 30 years thinking they are in high school.
@@mikeramp72 a hundred million non- homosexuals disagree with the 3 of you! 😀😃😄😁😆😅🤣😂🙂🙃😉😊😇🥰😃🤣😄
That's been a long standing Hollywood tradition to have older people playing teens. They did it with Beverly Hills 90210 and other shows as well.
Had no idea Andy Gibb was so popular.
He was huge....best looking Gibb brother💖
