Hi Curt - you can download free apps to your smart phones that will use GPS data to tell you when you drag your anchor. The downside is that you use your phone's battery pretty quickly. A cheap alternative is to use an empty soda or beer can. Put a few pebbles into the can and close the opening with tape. Get a long cord and large rock (or 2-3 lb. fishing weight). Tie the cord between the can and rock. When you drop your anchor, also drop the rock near the anchor. As you let out rode for the anchor, also let out a corresponding amount of the cord. Once you set the anchor, take the can below and put is onto a raised surface such as the table. If your anchor drags, the rock will stay in place which will pull the cord. The can will fall off the table and the pebbles inside will rattle to alert you that you have dragged. Because you drop the rock near the anchor, if you swing at anchor (such as the tide turning the opposite way), you won't get an alarm unless the anchor drags away from the rock.
Outstanding Captain Curt that you were able to get some down time as it were and go explore!! I have had the pleasure of seeing the Sun set in The Pacific and see it rise in The Atlantic as well....and personally it's always a treat to see The Moon and The Sun saying Good morning and Good night to one another! Great Drone Landing as well....no pressure there being on film...LOL...Cheers from Ohio
Nice video. Thanks for sharing ⛵

Thanks Tom, already downloaded the app and it has been quite effective.👍
Very smooth. More than luck! Nice landing.
I have propeller guards on it now so when I hit stuff it kind of bounces off. Lol

It was nice to settle in for a few days.👍
I liked being on the Atlantic side (KW) for the sunrise and just off Mallory Square for the Sunset celebration they have every night.
How do you deal with mosquitoes while aboard?
