    It seems in every duet….one voice yields to the other….sooo much respect here in real country music….

    Ashley Campbell is an excellent banjo player. Excellent singer. Excellent guitar player. Excellent keyboard player. This was an appearance where they were having fun. The fact that she can tune a banjo by listening, Impromptu, is telling. Most people have to use a tuner. I loved it. Two of my favorites. Very talented. Very human. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

      @troyalec50 5 лет назад +4

      LOL, she fooled you. She has a tuner mounted on the banjo pot. I have the same thing on mine. You can tell because she always looks directly at it while she's tuning.

      banjos are hard to tune. Do you know the difference between a banjo and a chainsaw? You can tune a chainsaw.

    i saw the doco on Glenn Campbell. It highlighted what a lovely person his daughter Ashley is and what a good musician she is. Cant agree with the negative comments here. this does have the appearance of an impromptu performance but they look good and sound and are having fun

    It's clear that Mo and Ashley hadn't rehearsed this number together! Also, because the banjo she used wasn't tuned, I'd guess that Ashley hadn't planned to perform, but just took Mo up on a chance to sing with him; that's just the way it seems to me!!
    First off, she's 'good enough' on the banjo, and Second, she has a good voice. They were charming together, and both had fun with this duet, and in this way--I enjoyed it. Thanks, PMR HD: Global, for bringing this.☺

      Thank you for offering a reasonable opinion of this performance. Rather than all the "they suck", "Nashville sucks" stuff. Folks, this is the entertainment business. There are great artists, and there are mediocre artists. Maybe Texas is more "authentic" (maybe) but Nashville has become pretty much the center of the music universe (not just country) because that's where you have to go if you hope to make it big... which is a super long shot anyway. Country was never pure - mixed with the quality was the, well, not so quality. Sure, Nashville has changed and I'm not a big fan of rap-infused stuff. But they are trying to pitch to the demographic that will pay for songs and concert tickets and the merch - mostly younger people. There will always be quality musical artists out there, and a lot of them will be outside the mainstream record labels. Just the way the business, and the technology, have moved the needle.

      ThomLin... LIVE is best.... mistakes and all! I'd much rather listen to a song I know, performed by musicians with no practice at a live venue, than sit at home and listen to the same studio recording any day. It's all about the live performance. :)

      Jan, what insight...I can tell you are a professional touring musician with hundreds if not thousands of hours on stage and in the studio. I recognize your family name and know how your father was a legendary member of the Wrecking Crew, the session cats that played on almost everything recorded in Los Angeles in the 60's-70's....Oh, wait...that isn't you...you're Nobody.
