I'm predicting that Paralives and inZOI will be the biggest competitors for The Sims. Paralives appeals more to the people who like the cartoon-ish, cozy aspects of The Sims 4, while inZOI appeals to people who always wanted TS4 to be more realistic and complex. Life by You will get attention from people who enjoyed earlier installments of The Sims franchise, but I'm not sure if the game will be able to make an impression that's good enough to be the others, because I feel like LbY wants to be cartoonish AND realistic while keep the tradition of The Sims, but got stuck in a weird limbo.
You're very wrong about Paralives, tbh Inzoi and Paralives are the most realistic feeling out of the three, Life by You feels much more like a sandbox experience and has a lot more liberty when doing stuff that isn't exactly realistic, Paralives just has a graphic style that's cartoony and cel shaded, but the gameplay is much more grounded in reality and it just feels more natural
@@PvydrowI don't feel like InZoi will be competition to the Sims because most people won't be able to play it. They had to send play testers high end desktops to test it. It had obscenely low frame rates in this video being played on a dev PC, and the average Sims player plays on a 3-5 year old low spec laptop or computer.
@@Theescapist_87 I didn't say anything about inzoi in my comment, but also I disagree because Inzoi is currently in an early development cycle, and optimizations will come with time, I agree the framerate in the videos were really bad, but you'd be surprised to know that most developer PCs are actually under the requirements, I urge you to watch for example GTA 6's early development videos, the game running at around 15 fps with PC specs that are a lot under the probable actual requirements because the game is still in active development.

Idk your specs, but if you can play Sims 4 I think you'll be okay once they optimize it for gameplay. There are different graphic settings, a RUclipsr was showing them. It looks good even at the lowest setting. They mentioned how the visual settings can be changed for screenshots and such. Unless you have a potato PC, I wouldn't worry.

TS4 does not have this so it’s much easier to optimize because the loaded map sizes are small, hence loading screens. You can’t assume a computer that can run TS4 can run this because TS4 is a 10 year old game with much smaller scale TS4 was made to run on a potato, this, not so much

A life simulator requires you to decide and to some point use your imagination, A life simulation should require you to react to already present activities and choices. There is a difference. These people that say use your imagination obviously did not play the earlier Sims games. My opinion is "what's the price" I'm in
Exactly. The Sims 1 & 2 & 3 were games. The Sims 4 is just a dolls house - there's no gameplay or challenge to make it a game. The developer actually comes from a Role Playing Game background, as you can see by the features he's adding. As soon as I heard that, I thought, "Oooooh, InZoi will be a GAME!" And I'm in provided it's not microtransactiony or online reliant - sadly if these things are the case, I'm out. Krafton makes a lot of microtransaction games, so lets hope...

Ok so I had my reservations however this has completely changed my mind about INZOI. They are so innovative and creative and are adding so many things we've never seen in a lifesim. I agree. They are coming for EVERYONES neck, with this game. TS4 and TS5 better just store themselves on a hard drive somewhere and count their losses.

I was so surprised that no Asiatic countries had already produced a SImulation game to this degree already. This looks awesome and I for one am thrilled to have some Sims competition. I love the role model aspect, the way you as a parent behave impacts the way your child/children behave. This is so lacking in the sims 4 as well,
Did you notice on the blocks behind the InZOI man explaining things that all of the blocks except one say INZOI. But one of the blocks says IOZUI. I looked it up on google and basically google says that IOZUI means YOU and that those two blocks IOZUI INZOI means YOU ENJOY. Interesting.
it looked like the block that said IOZUI was just upside down INZOI, but the fact that the logo is so easily reversible implies that it maybe was an intentional thing. cool find :]
I don't know if this is already a thing, but I would love if the Inzoi would be able to follow a schedule or daily/weekly routine that we can set for them. Going to work, making food, performing chores, hitting the gym, or even enjoying freetime! It would allow us to have characters live a certain way but also have control at the same time!
they have actually showcased a schedule system previously!! :D you can see it in their original gameplay trailer from november and some of the youtubers who playtested's videos, you can schedule them to do things throughout the week at specific times :3 i'm not sure how detailed you can get with it though but i think it's really cool and useful!! c:
Nope completely different take. LBY wanted to make everything in the game customizable. Inzoi so far only lets you choose colors really. No lot editing, limited world, no changing of public lots and not even choosable facial features. LBY was a "create everything you want to" inzoi seems to be a "play with premade dolls in a beautiful but premade dollhouse".

You can grab and pull facial features to make them how you want, a lot of the furniture is customizable being able to choose textures, patterns, colors, of different aspects of it like the legs, pillows, and surfaces. That also includes, floors, walls, stairs, and more. With clothes you can make your own pretty much by customizing the length of the top, neckline, sleeves, etc.
I would definitely love to see a video from you on the topic of whether or not imagination should be a requirement or not for life simulation games (namely Sims 4). I have been in that discussion with other simmers and I agree that imagination should be a requirement to play or enjoy these type of games but something you choose to implement if you desire to do so.
As with the first trailer they dropped I have no words. This is everything I ever wanted from a life sim and more. It’s what I imagined back then (before Sims 4!) what the future of sims would look like.
I’m so excited because when I play the sims I feel kiddish inzoi seems more for adult play and I love that just like the sims1 this game looks fun and not predictable!

Wow, I love the chaos. And yeah, this game looks like it is going to turn your computer into a toaster. Paralives, Life By You and project Rene are all using Unity, and I suspect maybe they might be kicking themselves for not going down that path. Especially Life By You, Unreal Engine is an Epic framework, and I was surprised they did not go down this route. And if the other "Sims" truely have significant reactions during gameplay, that is going to be so cool. As far as EA, I don't think we are going to see any change with respect to the Sims 4. Even if DLC sales for the Sims 4 starts to decline, so what. Milk every last drop until project Rene arrives. If Inzoi delivers on the gameplay, they may be the one that all others will be judged by. However, if Paralives (least realistic graphics) is top notch in gameplay, I will be more than happy with it. For me, gameplay is all that matters, and like you said, Inzoi is just totally insane.
I honestly don't know if this game is going to be for me, it feels a bit overly realistic for my taste without a lot of personality. But obviously, this is just my opinion as I could very well be wrong when the final product arrives. Either way, I am excited that EA will finally have competition from a hyperreal life sim (Inzoi) and a more indie cozy-game life sim (Paralives).
Well, it is a LIFE simulation game. Cars and transportation are apart of people's lives. What's ODD is that a company would create a LIFE simulation game WITHOUT adding functional cars or other transportation when their former games had them, yet they're supposed to be the more "innovative" and "improved" game.....SMH!!!!

I haven’t enjoyed playing sims 4 as much as I used to but sims will always have a special place in my heart I been playing since I was little but I feel like is just not great as sims 3 sims 4 is just blend and they have basically nothing to be honest I feel like they haven’t been listening to us and is just been really annoying if inzoi came out I’ll probably still be playing sims 4 just not much as I used to because inzoi look so amazing I always love realistic graphics and they did absolutely great on everything I was shook when I saw how much details they put in everything but I’m very skeptical on how is going to work on my computer my computer is burning when I start sims 4 so imagine inzoi and is open world and all the details i don’t think I could be able to play it so I’m very worried but I hope they can make it work😭
this game is gonna be HUGE for storytelling. this is kinda what i wanted after sims 3 with open world etc. just the base game has already a ton of stuff that are missing in the sims base game
I really look forward to inzoi. having consequences to our actions is what makes a gameplay so much more fun. something I didnt like in the sims is how there were no consequences to my sim's actions. cuz we all know when we have a bad reputation, depending on how bad it is, ppl avoid you, you're less likely to get hired or even lose a job(even tho what u did was outside of work it can still impact your job if the reputation is BAD enough haha), you're avoided by more ppl or even strangers if its worse, etc. and even if idk your character turns their life around and is good again, life will still be difficult because of their past record/reputation and so on. vs in the sims, you do the most messed up stuff and everything's still rainbows and butterflies lol
I haven't played sims4 since HS years crashed my game for almost 3 months. I've been on Grand Theft Auto waiting on Inzoi to come out. Now I'm even more excited about this game
Firstly, thank you SO MUCH for covering this. I can’t read the subtitles, so I heavily rely on videos like this to fill me in. Second, I am SO EXCITED for InZOI!!! I was already super excited before this, but hearing all of this has skyrocketed my excitement even more!!! From what little I can see the graphics look AMAZING. I’ve said it since the beginning and still stand by it. Although my computer will most likely catch on fire from all of the demand. I also love that there will be negative things that can actually happen, like car accidents. I’m personally here for it! But I feel like there should be an option in settings to enable or disable these. Like if someone was in an accident and doesn’t want to relive it they should be able to disable it, or if someone just doesn’t want it. But for those of us who want it we can enable it. I also like that reputation is in the game and that we can change how easy or difficult building relationships is. Next, as for the debate about imagination vs simulation, I agree with you. The game should be simulating things, not solely relying on our imagination. I think that’s part of why I get bored with The Sims 4 so often. Oh! And all the stuff about sleepwalking and their dreams affecting their waking life is INCREDIBLE!!! I honestly think that despite being convinced my computer is going to catch on fire trying to run this, and my usual concerns about accessibility, this is still the upcoming life simulation that I’m MOST excited for. I need InZOI now!!!
just because it’s realistic doesn’t mean it’s super heavy. it’s just about textures. as developers, they cannot make a game that exceeds current tech anyways, it’s not possible

I love how your actions and decisions will have a karmic outcome and that there are fires, car crashes, etc. This is exactly what I hoped for in the sims! I think Inzoi is going to DOMINATE if they keep this up. I just hope they bring natural disasters like tornadoes, floods, tsunamis etc so we could have to rebuild our houses and everything
TS4 might as well be a live service with all the packs. It’s hardly different than DLC when the packs are so small, it’s almost like they’re microtransactions….
I already have deal with Disney Dreamlight Valley and its monthly Star Path content since it went into Early Access two years ago. I don’t want to have InZOI becoming one and I have to pay twice for two live service games, the ultra realistic graphics and it possibly conflicting my current PC is already one thing. I smell Cookie Run levels of monetizations in the InZOI Kool Aid.

It's looking like a nice GTO with the car accidents. The sims gets boring real fast without mods. I hope they keep the random accidents in the game it makes it more realistic.
My only problem with it looking so realistic is that I feel like the characters are kinda bland and lacks some character, I hope they fix that. A little stylization would help with that and it doesn't need to compromise the realism. Final Fantasy, for instance, have semi stylized characters while keeping the realism in the environment and scenery
Definitely wanted to upgrade my PC anyway. I’m going to be ready when Inzoi and Paralives drops. I’m excited to have more options to play. Like depending on your mood you may want to play either or. I think I may even try LBY just to see which one I like the best. So far Paralives has won my heart but Inzoi gives me a more relaxed and wholesome GTA vibe which I’ve always wanted.
Sorry but for the average gamer this should not to big of a problem in terms of graphics. There are a lot of games out there which require higher graphics than sims 4 (nearly every New game does) and I also think you will be able to turn down the graphics or make the City less crowed etc.
EA have got a massive storm coming and I'm not confident that they'll really be able to compete with the incredible alternative life simulation games on the horizon. Inzoi looks like the life simulation of my dreams ❤🎉

Seeing the initial trailer, I was excited but skeptical of this good-looking, ambitious undertaking of a life simulation as I've seen ambitious titles go unfinished and forgotten about in the past. To actually see that "Hey, we're actually doing this" with the gameplay reveal and what it intel's just blew my mind. I knew it was going to be good but the details! It was like biting into a figurative juicy, tender piece of meat after not having a proper meal it for ages! FINALLY, it seems that we're finally getting what we've been craving for as life sim fans/gamers! I'm mind blown and it's not even close to being early access ready. I might need to get a new PC for this. Lol
I don't play Sims for about 2 years and I LOVED that franchise, playing Sims 1 whan I was a kid... I want true simulation game not game for kids (as the Sims 4 is for me) and Inzoi is just the game I'm looking for, with actual gameplay, bunch of different systems, costumisation, good and bad things, drama... Possibilities with this game are endless. Can't wait for play it!
I WISH I could get INZOI but I Can't until I either up GRADE my pc or up DATE it. Up-Grade meaning to get a NEW pc that would be able to handle this game only because the Specs and space required for this game are INSAINE. So MAYBE then. It does look NICE so far though. I am still looking forward to getting LBY especially since my pc CAN handle the Specs and Space for LBY. Can't wait to play that game. Paradox tech is doing an amazing job with LBY so far. The Sims has been around for decades at this point where we are with it now is flat out ridiculous it’s a shame to say the Sims doesn’t even compare to these new games coming out I mean I don’t understand how these new companies are making these games and giving us everything that we asked for from the Sims for decades.

I really hope it's moddable. User made content is essential for games like this. Also hopefully objects you place can be resized in a precise way on the xyz scale. Also seems open world, which I'm super excited for.

You can grab and pull facial features to make them how you want, a lot of the furniture is customizable being able to choose textures, patterns, colors, of different aspects of it like the legs, pillows, and surfaces. That also includes, floors, walls, stairs, and more. With clothes you can make your own pretty much by customizing the length of the top, neckline, sleeves, etc.

I would definitely love to see a video from you on the topic of whether or not imagination should be a requirement or not for life simulation games (namely Sims 4). I have been in that discussion with other simmers and I agree that imagination should be a requirement to play or enjoy these type of games but something you choose to implement if you desire to do so.
As with the first trailer they dropped I have no words. This is everything I ever wanted from a life sim and more. It’s what I imagined back then (before Sims 4!) what the future of sims would look like.
I’m so excited because when I play the sims I feel kiddish inzoi seems more for adult play and I love that just like the sims1 this game looks fun and not predictable!

This game is gonna crash older pcs lmao but sims got competition and this needs to happen but by the look of the competition and how this and other companies are ahead of the game it might make the sims franchies come to an end.....and thats where e.a went wrong they got to comfortable

Wow, I love the chaos. And yeah, this game looks like it is going to turn your computer into a toaster. Paralives, Life By You and project Rene are all using Unity, and I suspect maybe they might be kicking themselves for not going down that path. Especially Life By You, Unreal Engine is an Epic framework, and I was surprised they did not go down this route. And if the other "Sims" truely have significant reactions during gameplay, that is going to be so cool. As far as EA, I don't think we are going to see any change with respect to the Sims 4. Even if DLC sales for the Sims 4 starts to decline, so what. Milk every last drop until project Rene arrives. If Inzoi delivers on the gameplay, they may be the one that all others will be judged by. However, if Paralives (least realistic graphics) is top notch in gameplay, I will be more than happy with it. For me, gameplay is all that matters, and like you said, Inzoi is just totally insane.

I honestly don't know if this game is going to be for me, it feels a bit overly realistic for my taste without a lot of personality. But obviously, this is just my opinion as I could very well be wrong when the final product arrives. Either way, I am excited that EA will finally have competition from a hyperreal life sim (Inzoi) and a more indie cozy-game life sim (Paralives).
I personally think it's odd that cars are so in-demand in life sim games, I couldn't care less about my sims/zois having a car or being able to drive
Well, it is a LIFE simulation game. Cars and transportation are apart of people's lives. What's ODD is that a company would create a LIFE simulation game WITHOUT adding functional cars or other transportation when their former games had them, yet they're supposed to be the more "innovative" and "improved" game.....SMH!!!!

I haven’t enjoyed playing sims 4 as much as I used to but sims will always have a special place in my heart I been playing since I was little but I feel like is just not great as sims 3 sims 4 is just blend and they have basically nothing to be honest I feel like they haven’t been listening to us and is just been really annoying if inzoi came out I’ll probably still be playing sims 4 just not much as I used to because inzoi look so amazing I always love realistic graphics and they did absolutely great on everything I was shook when I saw how much details they put in everything but I’m very skeptical on how is going to work on my computer my computer is burning when I start sims 4 so imagine inzoi and is open world and all the details i don’t think I could be able to play it so I’m very worried but I hope they can make it work😭

I really look forward to inzoi. having consequences to our actions is what makes a gameplay so much more fun. something I didnt like in the sims is how there were no consequences to my sim's actions. cuz we all know when we have a bad reputation, depending on how bad it is, ppl avoid you, you're less likely to get hired or even lose a job(even tho what u did was outside of work it can still impact your job if the reputation is BAD enough haha), you're avoided by more ppl or even strangers if its worse, etc. and even if idk your character turns their life around and is good again, life will still be difficult because of their past record/reputation and so on. vs in the sims, you do the most messed up stuff and everything's still rainbows and butterflies lol

Firstly, thank you SO MUCH for covering this. I can’t read the subtitles, so I heavily rely on videos like this to fill me in. Second, I am SO EXCITED for InZOI!!! I was already super excited before this, but hearing all of this has skyrocketed my excitement even more!!! From what little I can see the graphics look AMAZING. I’ve said it since the beginning and still stand by it. Although my computer will most likely catch on fire from all of the demand. I also love that there will be negative things that can actually happen, like car accidents. I’m personally here for it! But I feel like there should be an option in settings to enable or disable these. Like if someone was in an accident and doesn’t want to relive it they should be able to disable it, or if someone just doesn’t want it. But for those of us who want it we can enable it. I also like that reputation is in the game and that we can change how easy or difficult building relationships is. Next, as for the debate about imagination vs simulation, I agree with you. The game should be simulating things, not solely relying on our imagination. I think that’s part of why I get bored with The Sims 4 so often. Oh! And all the stuff about sleepwalking and their dreams affecting their waking life is INCREDIBLE!!! I honestly think that despite being convinced my computer is going to catch on fire trying to run this, and my usual concerns about accessibility, this is still the upcoming life simulation that I’m MOST excited for. I need InZOI now!!!

I love how your actions and decisions will have a karmic outcome and that there are fires, car crashes, etc. This is exactly what I hoped for in the sims! I think Inzoi is going to DOMINATE if they keep this up. I just hope they bring natural disasters like tornadoes, floods, tsunamis etc so we could have to rebuild our houses and everything

I already have deal with Disney Dreamlight Valley and its monthly Star Path content since it went into Early Access two years ago. I don’t want to have InZOI becoming one and I have to pay twice for two live service games, the ultra realistic graphics and it possibly conflicting my current PC is already one thing. I smell Cookie Run levels of monetizations in the InZOI Kool Aid.
They have already clarified multiple times that this will not be a live service game.

It's looking like a nice GTO with the car accidents. The sims gets boring real fast without mods. I hope they keep the random accidents in the game it makes it more realistic.

My only problem with it looking so realistic is that I feel like the characters are kinda bland and lacks some character, I hope they fix that. A little stylization would help with that and it doesn't need to compromise the realism. Final Fantasy, for instance, have semi stylized characters while keeping the realism in the environment and scenery
Definitely wanted to upgrade my PC anyway. I’m going to be ready when Inzoi and Paralives drops. I’m excited to have more options to play. Like depending on your mood you may want to play either or. I think I may even try LBY just to see which one I like the best. So far Paralives has won my heart but Inzoi gives me a more relaxed and wholesome GTA vibe which I’ve always wanted.
Sorry but for the average gamer this should not to big of a problem in terms of graphics. There are a lot of games out there which require higher graphics than sims 4 (nearly every New game does) and I also think you will be able to turn down the graphics or make the City less crowed etc.
EA have got a massive storm coming and I'm not confident that they'll really be able to compete with the incredible alternative life simulation games on the horizon.

Seeing the initial trailer, I was excited but skeptical of this good-looking, ambitious undertaking of a life simulation as I've seen ambitious titles go unfinished and forgotten about in the past. To actually see that "Hey, we're actually doing this" with the gameplay reveal and what it intel's just blew my mind. I knew it was going to be good but the details! It was like biting into a figurative juicy, tender piece of meat after not having a proper meal it for ages! FINALLY, it seems that we're finally getting what we've been craving for as life sim fans/gamers! I'm mind blown and it's not even close to being early access ready. I might need to get a new PC for this. Lol

I don't play Sims for about 2 years and I LOVED that franchise, playing Sims 1 whan I was a kid... I want true simulation game not game for kids (as the Sims 4 is for me) and Inzoi is just the game I'm looking for, with actual gameplay, bunch of different systems, costumisation, good and bad things, drama... Possibilities with this game are endless. Can't wait for play it!

I WISH I could get INZOI but I Can't until I either up GRADE my pc or up DATE it. Up-Grade meaning to get a NEW pc that would be able to handle this game only because the Specs and space required for this game are INSAINE. So MAYBE then. It does look NICE so far though. I am still looking forward to getting LBY especially since my pc CAN handle the Specs and Space for LBY. Can't wait to play that game. Paradox tech is doing an amazing job with LBY so far. The Sims has been around for decades at this point where we are with it now is flat out ridiculous it’s a shame to say the Sims doesn’t even compare to these new games coming out I mean I don’t understand how these new companies are making these games and giving us everything that we asked for from the Sims for decades.
