      Yes, in June you are right in the month of June. Keep the Rototiller away from the roots blame it all on my roots.

    I agree with the hill idea I grow six pumpkins, and the ones down on the lower part never do as well as the ones up on the hill must be drainage. I don’t know why, but it makes a difference.

      It does in Michigan. However, there’s other locations in other states where low spot may be good like Kentucky. We’ll talk about that in part two video coming soon.

    When do you do a soil test? I’m guessing it takes a while to get it back from the labs?

      You should soil test now is a good time usually have the results back in one week Western Labs, Parma, Idaho you can Google it pull up their website. They have a page just for giant pumpkins. As long as you haven’t thrown down amendments or fertilizers in the past 30 days, it’s a good time to test There are less expensive places places to go if you’re on a budget, but these guys are real good top-of-the-line.
