- The eagle-eyed among you might have noticed a mistake in the previous build video.
(this video: • kit build - waveform g... )
Here's the fix and an explanation why there wasn't an earth shattering kaboom.
Thanks to Drex for the heads up.

As with all of my videos, this isn't the only way to do it.
It's probably not the best way to do it.
But it's how I do it.

good that you "show" your mistakes. thanks for the great videos.
David DeVillers: just wait 'til you see my next video. I'm thinking of calling it "I make all the mistakes so you don't have to"
I never refer to mine as mistakes. I always call them learning experiences.
Love a good component lead bodge. Function over form every time.
It's my interpretation of "make do and mend".
My daughter is getting interested in electronics, she's only 5, but I think watching your videos might be able to help me answer some of her questions!
I hope I don't make you more confused than when you arrived!
Thanks for watching.
There's an initial confusion on my part, but the basics from her electrical circuit set are helping me push that away, haha
C10 is a simple DC blocker so the chances of it "blowing up" are pretty unlikely.
good point.
Regardless, it's not a significant risk at this voltage level.
The "blowing up" was in reference to the more general statement in made in the previous video about harm to reversing electrolytics in general.
I etched my own boards 2 years ago using cheap Ebay PCBs and the tracks would fall off, so I switched to local PCB and I can R&R a single part 10 times and the pads stay attached.
Been seeing quite a number of traces falling off PCBs from cheap Chinese PCB houses when a part has to be changed.
Have to love it when you do what you say not to lol
LOL, Chit Happens.
