My backup system switches so fast my PC's don't even notice. Generator may not come on for 12 hours or more, if at all. Should note that during the Great Texas Fubar it a near failure of the Natural Gas system due to greed that shocked us as well as power loss. Not counting Cell, water, internet etc. Gas and diesel were not available due to power loss.
