Not always. When Chrome first came out I had WinXP with 768Mb RAM. And it was a relatively fast browser, but didn't have extensions yet and had barebones settings, just a browser for a simple normal user. So my fav was still Firefox, but Chrome also had its use.

You 1% and 0.1% fps is what matters and likely improved here he just didn't show it. also frametimes are more importantly, which he also didn't show. It's better to have a higher 1% fps and lower frametimes then not but have a couple dozen more fps. Only if you're way above 60fps like he is here where a loss of grams means literally nothing lmao.
right click an app thats taking alot of cpu/gpu/memory and go to details and then right click it again and change priorities to low theres much more too

These "tips" are getting out of hand now. I was trying these tips to boost my very old pc and it didn't do nothing, so if you guys wanna see an actual performance boost... I'm sorry to say that you have to upgrade your PC(although yeah, closing unnecessary processes will make it easy for your CPU).
Try downgrading from Windows 11 if you currently run it. The reason is because of the ui eating your performance. If you already have windows 10, do a clean re install of Windows 10.
Not sure what extra steps you're talking about when it's the same amount of steps and alt tab is actually unnecessary, the shortcut is just ctrl + shift + esc

I usually keep way too many windows and tabs open in Chrome through multiple sessions, so I use Chrome's task manager to kill tabs I'm not looking at right now. That keeps keeps the tabs with their urls set, but not taking up any processor/ram (similar to when a tab has crashed).
Also, if it's this easy to trick people and make thousands of views of useless information. I guess we should all start making "savvy" videos. 😂 Same guy who doesn't take off the plastic covering on the CPU coolers.

If you download a Windows disc image from Microsoft's website and reinstall your operating system, you'll probably get a performance boost.
Swap your old hard drive with a cheap SATA SSD.
