Hi thank you for the video. When at an interview how do you present your portfolio? is your portfolio put together online or printed out? eg how do you show what audits etc you have participated in/ different activities taken part in etc? thanks
Hi, you will not have a portfolio in front of you and the interviewers will not have access to a physical or digital portfolio before, during or after the interview. They ask structured questions about domains such as audit, research, teaching etc and provide you with time to answer and showcase your experiences. If you’re interested, we go through the anaesthetics interview in detail in our CT1 Anaesthetics Interview handbook. make-a-medic.thinkific.com/courses/ct1-anaesthetics-interview-handbook It contains a breakdown of the format, marking criteria, worked examples, medical emergency management guidelines and mock stations. Good luck!
Hi, the applications will open on Oriel in around October. Keep an eye on Oriel to check when the jobs open up - it’s worth keeping in touch with friends or junior doctor groups to make sure you don’t miss it!
@@MakeaMedic I'm on the anaesthetics national recruitment office website February 2024 heading It states CT1- MSRA invitations Thursday 24th August 2023, with MRSA window opening 1st September and closing 8th September, interview invitations from 26th September and offers from 26th October 2023?? Surely this means I need to sit the MSRA in September and apply this August?
@@Propofol1234 so that would be for the mid year entry (starting in February 2024) which you won’t be eligible for if you’re still doing your F2. I personally applied in around October, did my MSRA in January, had interviews in March and offers in April.
Hello, how does one enter this training programme after completing EDAIC?

I'm an F1 about to become F2 this August 2023- when should I be applying for core anaesthetics so that I can join the programme straight after F2?
