10 year ago i watched my first Hobbit movie and then others including LOTR. And it changed my life goals forever. I wanna retire to live in such kind of arrangement where Bilbo lived not necessarily same home, but similar vibes. I will make such a place in farm lands i got in countryside. That will be me returning home 🥰
This is beautiful. A family friend just passed away a few hours ago from cancer, so this made me cry a lot. I say a last goodbye to him, and may he rest in peace.
When the movie ended, I fell a tear of joy because I had the privilege to take part of the amazing Tolkien stories and Peter Jacksons wonderful take on them. But also a tear or sorrow because it´s over. Peter Jackson, everyone on the producing teams, Gandalf (I will always call Ian Mckellen Gandalf), Frodo, Sam, Aragorn everyone! And thanks Taylor Davis for making a wonderful cover.
I love you not because you are an amazing violinist, I love you not because you are very famous. I love you because in every video you made, I see the fashion in your eyes along with the expression that shows just how you truly enjoys what you are doing, as if you simply plays because you love to do so not because you wish for people to see how good you really are. You are my inspiration, my hero and even if I am playing a different instrument and despite having been told of not having a talent in playing it, it made me continue on pursuing it after I've seen you play and everytime I watches you, you keep on reminding me that I can do it. As long as I keep on loving what I am doing and following my own heart and not the taunts of my critics. Thank you for being wonderful, you might not know me nor cared about me but I am truly grateful of you. You're videos gave me the strength to keep on pursuing my own passion, thank you so much it might not even worth anything to you but I love you so much.
The Lord of the Rings came out when I was 1 years old, so I grew up with these movies. I'd always watch them. The Lord Of the Rings and The Hobbit both kind of felt like home. 🏡 So listening to this song is like someone is taking my home away kind of like Harry Potter. You spend so many years with them and then it's over.😔 Heart breaking, but we did have a lot of fun times together now didn't we? 😏👌
Regardless of anyone opinions about either set of movies, The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, this is an extremely bitter sweet song. It's like getting a hug only to be stabbed in the back. It's a beautiful send off to 6 movies that will forever lead people to discover the beautiful and incredible creation that is Middle-earth yet at the same time, it's also the end of something equally as amazing. Peter Jackson opened the door to the word Tolkien created in a way people had never imagined before but now it's come to an end. The end of an era. I will be sad that it's over but I still have my books and my movies to visit Middle-earth whenever the mood strikes me. I just wish it didn't have to end here.
This song makes me tear up every single time I listen to it. All of your covers are just incredible and I can feel the emotion emulating. I also love your originals too! You make me want to learn how to play violin!
I love all the Tolkien creations and every movie had fantastic soundtrack with unbelievably amazing arrangements. You just almost topped that all, pure awesomeness xd
This is so beautiful! I can't explain how much I love this song and movie but I just wanted to say that you did an amazing job with this and it almost made me cry xD Ahh your violin playing is perfect, I hope I can be as good as you someday :D
Luke dubarry she's married. You must be young to ask what grade she is in. You can see a ring on her left ring finger whIch a lot of times signify a marriage if you did not know already :p
Dear Taylor, If Old Man Tolkien is here and listen to this symphony of yours, I do believe He'll be Overjoyed Thank's to You and Billy Boyd for making a Beautiful end to this Beautiful Masterpiece, you have my deepest Gratitude
Billy Boyd, the original artist AND Merry, set the bar incredibly high. You did very, very well. I like the touch that the Violin puts on the song. It's remarkably beautiful.
I just wanted to say that this is so amazing. You inspired me to give playing the violin another shot when I thought I just sucked and could never learn. Two months ago I was actually asked to join an orchestra! And I just wanted to say thank you for inspiring me :)
God, I love this song way too much. Lord of the Rings is my favorite movie trilogy, as well as the Hobbit, and this was a fantastic homage to both. You are a great violinist! Keep going with what you're doing. I can't wait until all the movies come out in a special collector's pack! Then I can have myself a marathon!
Tolkien was such an extraordinary writer... Taylor has perfectly encapsulated his story in this music she plays on her violin. I play the violin too but there is no way in a million lifetimes I will get to be one tenth of the amazing violinist she is!!! I'm still trying!!!
Ahh. This is so beautiful. And as the regular music video made me cry. This was just making me cry more. I don't wanna say goodbye to all movies and books and or just everything about it. I grew up just rewatching these. over and over. It will stay in my heart forever. 💗
I can barely listen to the original song. It makes me cry or at least tear up every time. This one too now. You're brought back so much feels and pain with this. XD
Takaba Akihito The only person in the video would be Lindsey Stirling since Taylor would just stand there the whole time while Lindsey would dance off and the cameras would follow he more interesting performance.
i've seen most of your videos, miss Davis and i must say they are really, really good but one thing that i can take my eyes off, is the fact that you really love what you do, and a lot of people could say "duh", but personally i believe that adds a lot to the already beautiful work you do really nice job
this was my grandmother' favourite song, she suffered with dementia and your version was the only one that calmed her done when she got agitate, she is at peace
I want them to play this, In Dreams, Use Well the Days, and lastly Into the West as my body--wrapped in a cloak, crowned with laurel and rose wreathes, a sword upon my breast--burns upon a funeral pyre.
Just wanted to let you know that the violin I ordered came in today, and while I've been thinking about learning for a while now, it was your playing that fully convinced me. :) Thank you for the inspiration, and thank you for playing such wonderful songs!! Wishing you the best!
My father, age 91, passed away on August 4th of this year. I listened to this song quite often after his diagnosis on June 15 of pancreatic cancer. I wish he could have heard it before he passed.
Lyrics: I saw the light fade from the sky On the wind I heard a sigh As the snowflakes cover My fallen brothers I will say this last goodbye Night is now falling So ends this day The road is now calling And I must away Over hill and under tree Through lands where never light has shone By silver streams that run down to the sea Under cloud, beneath the stars Over snow and winter's morn I turn at last to paths that lead home And though where the road then takes me, I cannot tell We came all this way But now comes the day To bid you farewell Many places I have been Many sorrows I have seen But I don't regret Nor will I forget All who took that road with me Night is now falling So ends this day The road is now calling And I must away Over hill, and under tree Through lands where never light has shone By silver streams that run down to the sea To these memories I will hold With your blessing I will go To turn at last to paths that lead home And though where the road then takes me, I cannot tell We came all this way But now comes the day To bid you farewell I bid you all a very fond farewell

you did such a beautiful job with this song. I don't know how to explain it but I was moved to tears with how amazing this song was. your music always seems to just move my heart
Hi from Middle Earth. Nice performance. My son was the Safety and medical officer for all the LOTR and Hobbit movies with Peter Jackson. So there is a little bit of family in all these movies.
when i was watching the movie in theaters with my family, i couldn't help but cry, i didn't see the first two in theaters, nor did i see or own the original lord of the rings trilogy, and it just caught up to me, i was seeing the end of an adventure, a long awaited movie!, the lyrics, the music, just bilbo himself made the movie, martin freeman portrayed the character, he was absolutely astonishing, it truly felt like i missed out on something awesome, i cried, and cried, my family was worried about me cause they heard me sniffling, man, i read the book, but the movie is absolutely amazing.
Sent by the greatness of Jeremy Jahns and stayed for the unbelievable talent and beauty of Taylor Davis, keep doing the awesome things that puts a smile on my nerdy face. Almost a year anniversary in a way of me discovering the talent of Ms Davis. Thank you for being awesome and cool! Rock on!!! :D
Hey! I just have to say you are extremely skilled at playing the violin. Found your channel when I was looking for the signature tune of "The Last of the Mohicans". Will definitely continue to subscribe to your videos.
I've been playing the violin for a few months now and my melody improvisation always leads to this song at one point. Properly can't wait until the day that I'm able to play it fluently, cause I'm sure as hell not hitting the right notes in my current stage of development. So very inspiring to hear you play this tune with such vibrance, thanks for the upload.

I am amazed by the womderfully talented musicians I find on youtube. It is awesome Like many favorites I already discovered in the last few weeks I am delighted to find this whismical lively version of one of my favorite songs from the soundtrack well done! Thank you for sharing your gift with us this made my day
I love your music. I actually took up singing this song to help with my PTSD therapy, and your cover of it does justice to Boyd's original composition. Thank you!
I saw the light fade from the sky
On the wind I heard a sigh
As the snowflakes cover my fallen brothers
I will say this last goodbye
Night is now falling
So ends this day
The road is now calling
And I must away
Over hill and under tree
Through lands where never light has shone
By silver streams that run down to the sea
Under cloud, beneath the stars
Over snow one winter's morn
I turn at last to paths that lead home
And though where the road then takes me
I cannot tell
We came all this way
But now comes the day
To bid you farewell
Many places I have been
Many sorrows I have seen
But I don't regret
Nor will I forget
All who took the road with me
Night is now falling
So ends this day
The road is now calling
And I must away
Over hill and under tree
Through lands where never light has shone
By silver streams that run down to the sea
To these memories I will hold
With your blessing I will go
To turn at last to paths that lead home
And though where the road then takes me
I cannot tell
We came all this way
But now comes the day
To bid you farewell
I bid you all a very fond farewell
It is really beautiful
I have a fanfic in my head where a character makes his final stand, and as he fights, this song is playing. It’s a fantastic song.
I can't believe the stories of middle-earth came to an end :'[ no more books, no more movies. Tolkien was such an extroardinary writer
yup
they must adapt silmarillion too so dont worry :)
they havent had permission to do it and Christopher Tolkien doesnt want them to do it plus it would be quite hard to make coz theres more than 1 story in it
The Silmarillion would have to be TV if they're even thinking of adapting it.
Yeah
This is so beautiful. I'm crying.
I don't get it.
wow what a sissy
Thank you!
Taylor Davis Thank you taylor you are always give us nice feel keep going
I am moved more with Journey and Kingdom Hearts! :)
I think we should all experience the beauty of life in our own way. Every second in this story matters.

Was anyone else like me and cried a bit? Great songs and lovely memories and love put into both the song and the Hobbit Trilogy
One of the most unbelievably gorgeous instruments I've ever laid my eyes on. Almost as moving as the performance itself.
2 Years later and I'm still freakin glad Jeremy sent me to this awesome channel.
I should stop listening to her music when I am chopping onions.
Nunya Bidness Except, lets be honest, your not chopping onions...your just sitting there tearing up to this music. Its ok, we'll sit here with you. :)

Absolutely beautiful. The violin is gorgeous, too!
Lyrics:
I saw the light fade from the sky
On the wind I heard a sigh
As the snowflakes cover
My fallen brothers
I will say this last goodbye
Night is now falling
So ends this day
The road is now calling
And I must away
Over hill and under tree
Through lands where never light has shone
By silver streams that run down to the sea
Under cloud, beneath the stars
Over snow and winter's morn
I turn at last to paths that lead home
And though where the road then takes me,
I cannot tell
We came all this way
But now comes the day
To bid you farewell
Many places I have been
Many sorrows I have seen
But I don't regret
Nor will I forget
All who took that road with me
Night is now falling
So ends this day
The road is now calling
And I must away
Over hill, and under tree
Through lands where never light has shone
By silver streams that run down to the sea
To these memories I will hold
With your blessing I will go
To turn at last to paths that lead home
And though where the road then takes me,
I cannot tell
We came all this way
But now comes the day
To bid you farewell
I bid you all a very fond farewell

I love your music. I actually took up singing this song to help with my PTSD therapy, and your cover of it does justice to Boyd's original composition. Thank you!
You should do a collab with Lindsey Stirling :D
