I'm actually really impressed with how many lore details you were able to figure out on your first Loona reaction ever. I especially like your interpretation of the East of Eden line because in the context of the Loonaverse it does actually make a lot of sense and I never caught that before. So, the Loonaverse is a pretty complicated ordeal and I'm not even going to attempt explaining it here. I'll just say this: three planes of existance, superpowers, God, Original Sin, escaping the Garden of Eden, robots, the destruction and recreation of the moon, string theory, etc. Loona are often referred to as The Avengers of K-Pop. Why is that? Well, just like there were a bunch of solo superhero movies that eventually lead up to the Avengers assembling in 2012, the Loona members started releasing solo and subunit MVs in 2016 before finally debuting as a full group in 2018. They released almost two years worth of music before they even had their official debut. Every member has an assigned colour and animal and every MV (and even the teasers) added new details to their storyline. And these videos are dense as fuck. I've seen hour-long videos analysing every minute detail of one music video. For now, I think you should stick to the main group MVs for your reactions. Those are Hi High, Butterfly, So What, Why Not, and maybe Star. But if you then decide to take the deep dive, you really should do the solo and sub-unit MVs in chronological order. I value your breakdowns a lot so it'd be really interesting to see how you interpret the storyline and how it evolves. This is the order for predebut Loona: Heejin - ViViD Hyunjin - Around You Haseul - Let Me In Yeojin - Kiss Later Loona 1/3 - Love&Live (first subunit with Heejin, Hyunjin, Haseul and Vivi) Vivi - Everyday I Love You Loona 1/3 - Sonatine Kim Lip - Eclipse Jinsoul - Singing in the Rain Choerry - Love Cherry Motion Loona Odd Eye Circle - Girl Front (second subunit with Kim Lip, Jinsoul and Choerry) Loona Odd Eye Circle - Sweet Crazy Love Yves - new Chuu - Heart Attack Go Won - One&Only Olivia Hye - Egoist Loona yyxy - love4eva (final subunit with Yves, Chuu, Go Won and Olivia Hye) Yes, that's 17 videos. Like I said, stick to the main group songs at first but if you decide to go into the solos, this is definitely the order to do it in. Apart from all that, one video worth checking out: The Avengers of Kpop: A Story of LOONA - ruclips.net/video/a-dHXpi5cK8/видео.html The definitive guide to Loona that every fan must see. Really goes into detail about their crazy debut strategy and how they came together.
Holy LOONAVERSE!!! There's a lot to talk about, which is why this video is 24 freakin' minutes, but let me know if you liked this style of reacting, I kinda took a page out of Form of Therapy's book, not gonna lie :)
Heh, funny that you mention Form of Therapy on a Loona reaction, since Loona is one of their favourite groups. To the point where they actually got a tattoo combining the logos of Loona and GWSN. Btw, GWSN (pronounced "Gong-won So-nyeo") is a really underrated group that's worth checking out if you find the time.
I also really liked this reaction style, especially when you know an mv is going to have a deeper meaning (as you can now expect for, for example loona). Because knowing the whole song first will probably make you understand specific visuals or lyrics better/in a deeper way. Looking forward to the next one!
Dude, you're so smart, 3 years being an Orbit (loona fandome) and you just get it at first listen, so impressed. And really, you should do a LOONAVERSE journey of all the music releases, and I'm sure you gonna love it!
Hey DG, MV reactors rarely want to get into the mysterious meanings (lore) behind videos like this… but you, early on in looking at Loona, not only touched on, but have immersed yourself fairly accurately in the Loona-verse. Very impressive! I think that you definitely have the potential not to just appreciate Loona’s music and member charm, but also the other colors, including the lore behind the music. If you have the time and inclination, Orbits are (already in these comments) encouraging and welcoming you on your Loona-verse journey. PS: Check out Loona’s boy group dance covers: Fire, Cherry Bomb, Eclipse.
As an Orbit, I AM SO GLAD you reacted to them. Loonaverse is so dense and full of theory. I feel like you can really appreciate it and you did not disappoint! The only way I can sum up my feelings on this reaction is with the words of Gordon Ramsay "Finally some good f*cking food!"
you mentioned that they wanna paint the town with their colours so fun fact each member of loona has a representative colour, representative animal some of them have representative cities and some have representative fruit all of which are showcased in each member's solo MV., for example, the girl that said the line "like a wolf to the moon" is Olivia hye and her representative animal is a wolf
Lmao the girl at the beginning is the same one you stopped to say hello to in the queendom reaction! Kim Lip! Some of these scenes are challenging backs to their solo debut songs. Loona has a lot to them as far as content and members 🤣 but you will love it all. Wait til you see a dance practice! Your faces in this reaction 🤣🤣 The thread of fate is Greek mythology and I see those kinds if references in kpop a lot I absolutely love it!
YESSSS LOONA!!!! The performance and synchronization queens of KPOP. If I could only stan 2 groups it would be Loona and Dreamcatcher. It only takes a few dozen hours of research to understand the lore but when you do the songs all have a really deep meaning. I would also suggest checking out their dance practices, because their choreo is some of the most intricate in the industry and the MVs don't do the dancing justice. I also think the Avengers of Kpop video would be a good watch once you've gotten into them. It explains very well
Loonaverse is the name of the lore of this group. There are 12 girls and each of them have their own color and animal representation. This music video is very lore heavy and I suggest you start with the pre-debut music videos in chronological order. There are also hints of lore in the descriptions of each video so you won’t get too lost when watching. Another tip is that teasers they release are most of the time connected to the story that they are telling. What’s nice is that there are a lot of theories going around for the interpretation of the loonaverse. Once you’re caught up, you can watch their Japanese debut track titled ‘Hula Hoop’. It is a cool music video with a lot of fun easter eggs. Welcome to the loonaverse! Thank you for reacting to our requests! 🥹
OMG i just finished tour video about dreamcatcher guide (one of my ults) and you just released another video about LOONA ( my other ult lmao) great job DG, please continue with more reactions about LOONA they are amazing too
loonaverse: each loona member debuted first as a solo artist over the course of two years. there was a color, shape and animal assigned to each of them so when you see a girl with a specific color surrounding her or like deer antlers or like a wolf pelt it’s because those are their colors and animals after their debuted as a solo artists they were grouped into three separate sub-units, there is “1/3” they are located on planet earth “odd eye circle” place themselves between earth and the cosmos and eatch of them represent a moon and each have an odd eye that gives them powers, when their odd eye becomes full into a moon their powers ignite and together they’re able to create a circle teleporter that allows them to teleport in between all the different places and worlds third sub-unit “yyxy” witch stands for (youth youth by young) they were born in Eden, a utopia land, witch is located between eartch and odd eye cirlce, each member possesses a special fruit and if they eat it they’ll be exiled to earth, they end up rejecting Eden. after the sub_units debuted eventually they became a team and through their next few releases they had to overcome various obstlike a supernova while trying to find a way to unite as one team. in the release before this one “why not” they succeeded in creating a new moon to shield the earth from the supernova, witch then brings us to this release, “paint the town” covers a them of destruction of the old and rebirth as loona continues their mission to protect the universe
I've seen many LOONA reactions but I've never seen somebody get so invested in the story/lyrics/meaning without being at least somewhat familiar with loonaverse This may be your first time dividing the reaction like this. This may be my first time subscribing to a channel after watching only 1 video
I swear to god, if you keep seen all loona’s mvs and solos you are going to understand why do we love them so much, like i have never seen something they meticulously planned as the loonaverse, everything EVERITHING that happens in a MV has its meaning, and maybe we don’t get to realise it now but when the next MV cames out. Like it’s fūcking crazy
So happy you decided to check Loona out☺️. They really got a diverse discography and I envy that you are able to discover them from the very start, have fun!
Paint the Town is actually a reference to the old time-y phrase paint the town red which means to let loose and party flamboyantly. But thank you for reacting to Loona don't forget to try their subunit stuff as well.
The more you hear their songs the more amazing it get, all their songs....and their dance practices it's outstanding....they are truely the Queen's 🔥🔥🔥
Jfc your analysis abilities are off the charts! I'm fine with either option, whichever you enjoy more! This was definitely an awesome comeback and i hope you continue to check them out
so the 3 girls that have the eclipse shaped colored eyes. they are actually a sub unit of loona called Odd Eye Circle or OEC. Before Loona debuted every single member had a solo debut leading up to the group's debut. After Choerry (purple), Kim Lip (Red), and Jinsoul (Blue) did their solos, they formed a unit called Odd Eye Circle and they released two songs, Girl Front and Sweet Crazy Love. Please check those music videos out.
this has to be the best reaction to PTT I’ve seen so far! the way you analyzed and interpreted lyrics and visuals was amazing and I went 😳🤯 more than once cause how do you see all this and actually interpret it the same as seasoned orbits who know all of the lore from the beginning (like me), I hope to see more Loona reactions in the same style as this from you, it’ll be great if you could watch the mv’s in order so you get the whole story as it grows :)
I'm not an Orbit but for me the video "The Avengers of Kpop: a story of Loona" by The Asian Theory was very helpful. They have sooo many mv's that are in some way connected / in the same universe (loonaverse) that it gets daunting for new fans to join the fandom. But I felt that video was a good introduction while also explaining well just how ambitious Loona as a project was/is.
loona is known to be a very versatile group in kpop each member has a solo and that solo is so unique to that member, as well as the sub-units and even their full group albums and title tracks are so distinct and they never do the same concept twice... i would love for you to check out butterfly or hi high next cuz you will be shocked it's the same group
Ah yes...Hola! Loona time best time. Good luck with this one you will need it. I rarely suggest to creators what to react to or what videos to do but I will make an exception today. I highly recommend a guide to the loonaverse and also, since you have now been doing this for a while, a video of your top 5 or 10 tracks so far and why would be awesome to check out! Keep it up mate!
Hey DG! Thanks for always listen to our requests! Listen up, Loona's MV's actually are really complex in terms of understanding, cause they always reveals new things about the Loonaverse. I recommend u to watch the Twinfish series of videos (there's a playlist of that on YT). She explains the basics and interpretations of Loonaverse. Its so much complex that even involves Mobius Stripe and String Theory Thats the link to that: ruclips.net/p/PL89exj7yLA9xaUJ1D8MmUzxgfPXEVWTrN Btw, the two girls in the ref and blue skirt, they are part of a subunit called Odd Eye Circle, and they have some kind of powers. Kim Lip (red skirt) was in the plataform of her solo song (Eclipse) and there is evidente that Jinsoul (blue skirt) encounter here there. Odd eye circle are trying to find a way to connect all the girls of loona in one place of the Mobius stripe. And they are the only ones capaple of that. And the fact that Jinsoul appears at the end, is a confirmation that they really found each other on that place.
I’ve appreciated both styles of reaction that you’ve done (breakdown in 1 watch or rewatch and breakdown in 2) so I think whatever you find fitting for the video you’re watching would work. Appreciate the reactions!
I think the twelve doors refer to doors of communication between the twelve members (this really is a big group but there are still even larger groups). But the doors can also mean different dimensions, one for each lady. Both the girl in the Red skirt at the beginning and the girl in the Blue skirt at the end are alone (in their own dimensions), but they seem to communicate with each other. Dimensions can be different from each other even if they are on the same plane of existence. This video could be portraying extra-dimensional communication (what a HUGE idea!) or it could just be talking about each lady's individualism and how they have to keep in touch with each other, even if that is difficult sometimes. They stick together as a team and so far it is working, they made it to the big-time as a group (safety in numbers, etc). Some of them are very good friends with each other and there are sub-units (and maybe some of them even get shipped because of that) while others seem sort of distant from each other. But they all work together for the same goal. AMAZING song, always seems too short to me because it is so fun to hear and see. :)
Loonaverse is a rabbit hole that you will never climb out of 😂 Thing is, you can still enjoy the music and mvs and interpret them how you like without diving into the 'loonaverse' aspect. But if you do...prepare for a loooong journey lol. I promise its worth it! Either way, I'm here for it!
Oh man, if you loved this kind of analysis, it'd be SO fun for you to watch your way through Loona's debut project and the videos that came after. You'd really enjoy connecting the storyline and coming back to this moment, which is the end of the story!
There are a lot of layers to this song and MV. To understand the significance of PTT you need to know a little about Vivid, the first Loona solo and the beginning of the Loonaverse. In the Vivid MV Heejin's world is very mundane and literally black & white and she thinks about her dreams coming true. She was alone and she created the Loonaverse(yes, God is a woman!!!) from her dreams. PTT is her doing the same thing but this time she's not alone and the world that is going to be created is more vibrant because there are more colors this time and there are more dreamers too. When you share a dream it becomes more powerful because you can share your struggles as well as your triumphs. One aspect of the Loonaverse that I don't think gets enough praise is how tenderly it treats the dreams of young girls and women. PTT is a confident, positive song where women are supporting women and I stan that so hard. 🥰 I really wish Loona was around when I was young.
Woahh , always amaze me with your interpretation, always learning something new regarding the MVs. Especially about the east of eden part. + Yeah i like this kind of reaction . First react to the MV then the breakdown lf the MV.
Wow this was such a great reaction! Loona is my ultimate group and you picked up on so many things in just your first reaction! Hopefully you will take a deep dive with Loona, their discography is out of this world, not to mention all the lore!
You help me a lot with girl groups you know xD It's hard for me to find something I like among them. This song was in one of my playlists but I never listened to it. It sounds cool tho :)
yesss loona content! I think when it's a loona video this format of watching first and breaking down after is really helpful to understand the MV better, bc there is SO MUCH happening. But in the end of the day, in the loonaverse storyline there's no wrong or right, everyone can have their own interpretation and that's the fun of it 🫂 Besides the lore, they have an flawless discography so I recommend you to check out more of their songs like So What and Butterfly.
this comeback was my introduction to loona. i remember how confused i was by the sound and the mv and that i didnt like ptt very much after first listen. but since then this has grown to be one of my favorite songs over all! i love how strong everything and everyone is in this song and mv! 💜😎🔥💪 and the dance practice for ptt is just amazing as well!
I knew about Loona and liked some of their songs (e.g. favOriTe, Not Friends) but PTT is song that really piqued my interest and got my attention. I love the power anthem vibes, especially coming from a girl group.
I think a proper viewing is better because your first reaction doesn't get interrupted which can take away from the song's momentum, then after your breakdown works best. This works for you and us.
please react to Irene and Seulgi's Monster. They are two members from Red Velvet who promoted as a sub unit back in 2020 with Monster. It's one of the best songs of 2020 as well as one of the best music videos of 2020. The production of the music as well as the music video is so fucking insane. I think you will be blown away
Loona’s music and visuals are something else.. this is one my least fav title tracks (and it’s still a banger!). They have such a great no-skip discography it’s almost not fair- not a bad song in sight, and so many top tier experimental tracks. Their dream pop stuff is especially magical. You should def check out some of their b-sides once you watch their solos, subunit and group MVs!! You will not be disappointed getting into this amazing group
22:24 so in this video they are on the moon, that's why the floor is white with powder, it continues from Why Not. 23:02 the image is very similar to Kim Lip's solo called "Eclipse". Kim Lip is the girl at the beginning with the red skirt. I really liked this style of reaction, and you should react to their solos, in the order that the guy in the pinned comment gave you, but I still think it's better to react in release order and not watch any more full group MVs so you can follow the storyline better.
that the thing with loona if you want go deep down into they're universe you can love them a lot . but it's not a group for every body .many thing to point . 1 they're agency build them like the next big thing in kpop . they spend a lot of money to build they're universe . they take one year to debut them they lauch a music video every month for each members all members of loona as they're introduction MV . 12 GIRLS 12 month 12 mv's even before they're debut as a group . then they star they're career with 12 members and amoung the kpop fans we call them "THE AVENGERS of KPOP" 2 they got many various girls with differant music vibe and taste .some you can love and some don't . 3 but thtaht didn't work in korea to big project to many girls . even for me it's a huge struggle to remmeber all they're name and position and they can have amazing HIT and absolute fail 4 they 're pretty popular oversea but not in they're own country so they need this show to bring what they got and conquer our heart . as a korean i admit than most of the time i sleep on them i'am very curious to see what they got on this show . i love some members they got talented vocalist . so can't wait .
I liked this new style of reaction. First you focus on the song and the MV and then you pause and do your analysis. Please do it this way too in future BLACKPINK reactions
I'm actually really impressed with how many lore details you were able to figure out on your first Loona reaction ever. I especially like your interpretation of the East of Eden line because in the context of the Loonaverse it does actually make a lot of sense and I never caught that before.

This is the order for predebut Loona:
Heejin - ViViD
Hyunjin - Around You
Haseul - Let Me In
Yeojin - Kiss Later
Loona 1/3 - Love&Live (first subunit with Heejin, Hyunjin, Haseul and Vivi)
Vivi - Everyday I Love You
Loona 1/3 - Sonatine
Kim Lip - Eclipse
Jinsoul - Singing in the Rain
Choerry - Love Cherry Motion
Loona Odd Eye Circle - Girl Front (second subunit with Kim Lip, Jinsoul and Choerry)
Loona Odd Eye Circle - Sweet Crazy Love
Yves - new
Chuu - Heart Attack
Go Won - One&Only
Olivia Hye - Egoist
Loona yyxy - love4eva (final subunit with Yves, Chuu, Go Won and Olivia Hye)
Yes, that's 17 videos. Like I said, stick to the main group songs at first but if you decide to go into the solos, this is definitely the order to do it in.
Apart from all that, one video worth checking out:
The Avengers of Kpop: A Story of LOONA - ruclips.net/video/a-dHXpi5cK8/видео.html
The definitive guide to Loona that every fan must see. Really goes into detail about their crazy debut strategy and how they came together.
You're an hero for this comment!!!!
@@tracisr Nah, I'm just way too obsessed with Loona
STOP👏RECOMMENDING👏THE👏AVENGERS👏OF👏KPOP!👏its so outdated!!
I think it's better to react to the solos first so he doesn't get spoiled for the climax of the story which is Hi High.
@@rdmf2921 and? It still gives A LOT of context about the girls and the story and the music.
LOONA is one of the most unique groups in k-pop. You should react to "Butterfly", it's one of the most beautiful songs/MVs/choreos ever created.
yes teasers and then m/v
no

loona is known to be a very versatile group in kpop each member has a solo and that solo is so unique to that member, as well as the sub-units and even their full group albums and title tracks are so distinct and they never do the same concept twice... i would love for you to check out butterfly or hi high next cuz you will be shocked it's the same group
Now PLEEEEEASE do 'Why not', it's my favorite LOONA song as an orbit, and one of my favorite songs in kpop in general. A masterpiece
Its so much complex that even involves Mobius Stripe and String Theory
Thats the link to that: ruclips.net/p/PL89exj7yLA9xaUJ1D8MmUzxgfPXEVWTrN
Btw, the two girls in the ref and blue skirt, they are part of a subunit called Odd Eye Circle, and they have some kind of powers.
✨hola✨
Loonaverse is a rabbit hole that you will never climb out of 😂
Thing is, you can still enjoy the music and mvs and interpret them how you like without diving into the 'loonaverse' aspect. But if you do...prepare for a loooong journey lol. I promise its worth it!
Either way, I'm here for it!
Oh man, if you loved this kind of analysis, it'd be SO fun for you to watch your way through Loona's debut project and the videos that came after. You'd really enjoy connecting the storyline and coming back to this moment, which is the end of the story!
i am just realizing how fitting/good it would be if DG reacted/interpreted Loonas Butterfly teasers then m/v.
I LOVED THIS REACTION. Thank you so much for reacting to LOONA, I'll wait for new content!
loving your loona reactions, please explore more about loona. thank you!
Wow this was such a great reaction! Loona is my ultimate group and you picked up on so many things in just your first reaction! Hopefully you will take a deep dive with Loona, their discography is out of this world, not to mention all the lore!
LOONAVERSE HIT DIFFERENT
You help me a lot with girl groups you know xD It's hard for me to find something I like among them. This song was in one of my playlists but I never listened to it. It sounds cool tho :)
please react to more loona!!!
yesss loona content!
I think when it's a loona video this format of watching first and breaking down after is really helpful to understand the MV better, bc there is SO MUCH happening. But in the end of the day, in the loonaverse storyline there's no wrong or right, everyone can have their own interpretation and that's the fun of it 🫂
Besides the lore, they have an flawless discography so I recommend you to check out more of their songs like So What and Butterfly.
Stan LOONA, cant wait for more reactions to loona :)
PLSSS REACT TO BUTTERFLY by LOONA 🤧
i love how after the first chorus everything is so perfectly chaotic and it doesn't give us any second to collect ourselves lol
I guess there's nothing left to say except... Welcome to the Loonaverse, friendo 🐯🔥👑💜
I love listening you talk.
this comeback was my introduction to loona.
i remember how confused i was by the sound and the mv and that i didnt like ptt very much after first listen.
but since then this has grown to be one of my favorite songs over all! i love how strong everything and everyone is in this song and mv! 💜😎🔥💪
and the dance practice for ptt is just amazing as well!
This works for you and us.
you should react to their solo songs.. in order!!!
the lore is insane! :P
Gracias por ver el video de Loona. Si reaccionaras a mas sería genial. No te arrepentiras. Thanks
No one:
DG's reaction: 🤨😐🤔😮💨😶😬😳😲😮😯😤😱
Very poppy, however I really enjoyed the feel of the breakdown when it drops to halftime feel and they're all in black.
I loved your reaction and analysis!
Loona te dará en las narices unas cuantas veces... Yo iría a Butterfly ahora.
OHW SHIT LETS FUCKING GO
you gotta react to loona’s satellite and colors’ dance practices!
The black orb is a black hole btw. Seems like Kim lip is trying to destroy another moon
where's the LOONA BUTTERFLY reaction 🤧?
please react to Irene and Seulgi's Monster. They are two members from Red Velvet who promoted as a sub unit back in 2020 with Monster. It's one of the best songs of 2020 as well as one of the best music videos of 2020. The production of the music as well as the music video is so fucking insane. I think you will be blown away
JAJAJJAJA IM SORRY BUT THE HOLA HAD ME CRACKING UP
Ayt! Time to react to their solos!
Me encantó el "hola" jajajaj
React to so what, please 🔉🔉🔉
As an orbit I'm really excited 💕
22:24 so in this video they are on the moon, that's why the floor is white with powder, it continues from Why Not.
23:02 the image is very similar to Kim Lip's solo called "Eclipse". Kim Lip is the girl at the beginning with the red skirt.
I really liked this style of reaction, and you should react to their solos, in the order that the guy in the pinned comment gave you, but I still think it's better to react in release order and not watch any more full group MVs so you can follow the storyline better.
React to loona:the avengers of kpop
After Dreamcatcher, I also stan these queens😄
Oooooo next is FIRST by Everglow ✨
Just watch the MV to "Not Friends" by Loona 😁
In K-Pop world....Dreamcatcher is like DC..and Loona is more like Marvel...;P
I never seen you so quite through a reaction lol
that the thing with loona if you want go deep down into they're universe you can love them a lot . but it's not a group for every body .many thing to point .
1 they're agency build them like the next big thing in kpop . they spend a lot of money to build they're universe . they take one year to debut them they lauch a music video every month for each members all members of loona as they're introduction MV . 12 GIRLS 12 month 12 mv's even before they're debut as a group . then they star they're career with 12 members
and amoung the kpop fans we call them "THE AVENGERS of KPOP"
2 they got many various girls with differant music vibe and taste .some you can love and some don't .
Wait you didn't listen that song yet? Oh yeah THAT SING IS BEST
I liked this new style of reaction. First you focus on the song and the MV and then you pause and do your analysis. Please do it this way too in future BLACKPINK reactions
Be careful because you gonna falling deep into the "LOONA HOLE" 😆
React to Loona Butterfly!
support loona on queendom, thanks
That chorus beat drop is def one of my favorite ever and just goes so damn hard its ridiculous
random comment but youre background colors is so similar to Loona's sub unit Odd Eye Circles teaser video "Reveal" lol
check the loonaverse out pls 😭
Can I know your top 10 fav kpop songs?
