Neighbors get annoyed with it too if you go in your car a lot. It's pointless to have it with a 2 way remote other than to let people know you have an alarm.
Love these quick setup tips. Question though: Would you be able to tell me how to change or lower the sound that the remote makes when the alarm is triggered (is so loud)? Thank you in advance!
Sure I can make a video on it. Which remote do you have? The T9 that I have can only do vibration mode, but if yours supports volume, it's very similar to enabling vibration. I can have it up within a couple of days.
@@CleverFix Thank you so much for your speedy reply. So once I got home I realized I got the remote 2WT9R-FM I have the compu 7900AS been having it already for 2 weeks. I tried to mute off the chirp off and it failed. I might have to reach out to the dealer where I installed it. I will be on the lookout for your video. I appreciate your time very much. 🙏🤟
@@felixcruz6829 Yep, it will fail on newer ones unless you do the programming. Dealer will do what I show in the video to enable it by changing option 16 in menu 1. On older ones, menu 1 option 16 didn't exist so it worked by default.. but they decided for some unknown reason to make it difficult. I got the T9 also, you won't be able to turn the volume down just make it vibrate.
I have a compustar 2305 trying get it out of silent mode ?video only helped to get out of valet mode, but Video not helping to get chirps or siren back on
Thank you! If possible., can you please explain how to navigate to next feature groups # 2 through #4? using remote control? I'll try to make a short video for the siren extension programming, that may be something many people are interested in it since the default is only 30 sec. Thanks for the comment.
Please can anyone help. My compustar was installed professionally. The 2 way communication seems to be faulty. It actually starts however it doesn’t indicate that it has started. Nothing seems to work - for example when I press the lock 🔒 it doesn’t work even unlocking it as well. LCD is not lit. It used to work but now it doesn’t work.
Just added some G15 PRO remotes to my CM7000 to be able to set this (1-16) program but when pressing the key button it won't let me get past 3 presses before it plays the three back to me. I've tried slow and rapid. Always stops at three.
That's strange. The car is unlocked when you're trying this right? Normally the "play back" happens after a wait period.. are you getting a chirp on each press 3 times in a row? Have you tried 2 presses and then waiting? Almost sounds you're in a different menu, but no menu has only 3 options.
@@CleverFixYes unlocked first. I can't understand it. I tried waiting (a second) between key presses for chirp and flash and also tried just going faster - both end on three. Compustar told me they don't trust consumers to do programming and said to visit an installer... I will try two - but sometimes it results in the alarm going off for a short duration. I need to drive to a place where nobody cares - or pull the wire off the horn.
