LV Imagination and recently also Pacific Chill also gets me so many compliments.
UNSOLICITED COMPLIMENTS are the only ones that count, guys. These men that run around the office asking people (women) “what do you think about my fragrance?” and then have them say “you smell nice!” think that they are getting a compliment..90-95% of the time people are just being nice. BUT if a person approaches you and says “you smell nice” that’s a LEGITIMATE compliment!

Tried Naxos 1861 for the first time today...my God, what a perfume...they managed to put the smell of the Mediterranean in a bottle. I can't wait for the Roja Enigma sample to arrive...so I can see how it suits me. Great channel!!!❤

Some of my best kept secrets.... Acqua di Parma Leather is little known but an absolute gem, always complimented. Xerjoff Naxos is the reason I don't care that Mugler Pure Havane is discontinued - Naxos is deeper, richer, more complex and performs like a beast.

Whats crazy is I got ADP Leather and originally thought it smelled wierd and considered it a throw away scent. But youre 100% correct. People love that stuff. Particularly women, in my experience. I no longer consider it a throw away scent at all I never wouldve guessed ppl would love that fragrance that much.
Do you not find the Naxos dry down basic/plain? Once that beautiful opening goes away it's a pretty muted and simple vanilla tobacco I find

I’ve recieved compliments in ‘23 so far, for:
- Guerlain L’homme Ideal edp
- BdC edp
- Givenchy Gentleman Society
- Penhaligon’s Juniper Sling
Compliments for the above have all come from the fairer sex.

@@ScentTrail To my nose it’s a beautiful unique ‘gin and tonic’ style freshie. I first smelled it when I was in Seoul back in summer ‘18; have wanted it ever since. I’ve always scoffed at the price a bit, expensive in Tokyo, but a friend went back to London recently and gifted me a bottle from the flagship store. Happy days mate.

Indeed; if you aren't approuchable, you won't get a compliment at all. Overspraying won't get you compliments also. Wearing the wrong perfume won't get you compliments either. Wearing a perfume you don't like yourself will reflect and keeps compliments away. Etcetera and so on. People in the fragcom seem obsessed by "compliment pullers" and buy them without taking this into considderation. Yes, some perfumes are more likely to get complemented on, but in fact every perfume could get you a compliment.
My most complimented perfumes are Chanel Platinum Égoïste and TF Costa Azzurra. Also Profumo gives me compliments but it is discontinued. Profumo is now replaced with the new AdG Parfum and it is a 95-98% copy. Within my niche, Ormonde Man, Montale Greyland (discontinued) and Houbigant Fougère Royal give me compliments.
So for me personaly, the freshies do the job.

@@ScentTrail 200 ml should last you a while indeed. 🤣 Certainly with a collection the size you got. I got 2 bottles of 75 ml back ups left of Profumo, but did wanted to try the new one. My collection is a lot smaller and one bottle that size doesn't last that long.
Really enjoy your videos. You have great knowledge and passion about this hobby of yours. Desir Toxic is a delight! That fragrance has a very unique scent! Just ordered a bottle of Naxos and Desir Toxic. They are on the expensive side but really deserve it. Wanted to purchase samples for Ani by Nishane and Angel’s Share by Killian. It was a shame I couldn’t get any samples for them.

Yes that's really the tragedy of Lord Georges. I really love this scent but the performance is what pushed me back.
My 3 preferred at the moment : Halfeti, Cédrat Boisé and Gentle Fluidity Silver.

Have you ever had the original Tom Ford Japon Noir? I could only ever get a clone of it (which has been reviewed as identical) From the interpretation that I have I think it is amazing.

3 of them are on my shortlist - can you give me some advise (note: I own quite a lot of fragrances incl. Mugler Pure Havanne)
1) Desir Toxic (not yet smelled)
2) Tragedy of Lord George (liked it quite a lot)
3) Naxos (liked it but not sure it’s better than Mugler)

If it were me, I'd skip the Naxos as it is similar to Pure Havane.
If you don't mind using it up.
Since the Mugler is hard to come by.
Lord George is a true Gentlemans fragrance.
Elegant, creamy barbershop.
It has a mature vibe, so it is probably a stretch for a young person.
Desir Toxic is a bit old school, which I like. I'd get a sample just to be sure. Unless you remember the 80 and 90 ,lol.

i gave way LATTAFAMen's Fakhar....Didn't like the chemicals maybe i had a bad bottle but mine smelled like medicine
@@rodrix4d364 all the clones use harsh chemicals to keep the price down. Not only that, but the more people buy these clones the more it will destroy the niche fragrance houses and all we’ll be left with is the big name overpriced designer fragrances.
Those are all worthwhile each and every one. The Detour Noir I sampled had a similarity with certain notes and vibe to Bentley For Men Intense, no it’s a no-go for me. I have Lattafa’s Sheik Shuyuke Final Edition which is a twin brother of Fakhar, it’s a spicy one, not fruity and not gourmand. It’s very masculine so if that’s what you like you will like Fakhar. The others you mentioned are very good for their price point.

Good to hear, and some great info. I went with one I failed to mention, Tres Nuit by Armaf. Only because I really want to try Creed GIT, but the price tag scares me. I've heard from numerous You Tuber's that's the one to get if you can't get the real thing.
Plus, I already own Bentley Intense and so won't even bother with the one you said is close to it. I like it but don't really love it, a little to strong but not by much. I have Dark Rebel Rider by Varvotos and really dig that niche.
