  • Zion National Park is known for the famous Angels Landing hike and the Narrows, and for good reasons. Of course, those hikes are absolutely worth the visit. However, there are a few hikes that are often overlooked, with Watchman Trail being one of them. Watchman Trail is a wonderful, family-friendly trail. This trail runs next to the beautiful Virgin River, then heads up the mountain to expose hikers to the breathtaking views of the surrounding area. From the overlook, you can see the entire Springdale area. Since its trailhead is located inside the visitor center, the Watchman trail is also the closest official hike in Zion National Park. Therefore, it is perfect for first-time visitors, as well as family and beginner hikers.

It's really pretty up there. You should try this one if you are out that way. There is some climbing involved but it's nothing too brutal.

I think it was the end of March? It's been a while and we visited Zion so often that everything seemed to blur together 😅😅

We are so glad that you enjoyed the video! We shot the video in March and we did encounter a light snow a couple times over the course of our visit.

Hi Dustin, at the beginning of the video, I see it's snowing. When did you take the video? I'm going to Zion on first week of november, do you think I'll find mud and snow? Thank you for the great video!

Hey! The video was shot in March. according to a quick search, here is what I found.
It snows in November in Zion National Park occasionally. Zion sees about 0.3 days of snow during November. Snow in southern Utah is sparse, even in the winter months. However, you are more likely to encounter snow on high-elevation trails or along the Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel side of the park.

Zion is pronounced like "lion." NOT like "try-on."

We actually heard it both ways. Talked to a few locals and park rangers.

I’m a Utah native and I say it the way you said it. I hate saying it like that.
