I have bought a few lepin sets of models I could not possibly afford with second hand prices. I have to say the builds are spot on and good never had a problem.
So far I’ve built 3 bootleg gunships for under the price of the 2013 gunship. I got a 4th on the way cause I’ve yet to be missing a piece for each set. Though figures are a real 50/50 on the helmets. Thank you custom Lego helmets for that save though.
I would say to real collectors , buy the fake ones to be a display and keep the real ones in the box , that way the value of the original would only increase because it would be an unopened lego collectors box
I get this one recommended to me by aliexpress all the time. But since I am not fan of the design I will probably just hope for new playscale venator from Lego
@@hevybricks5770 yep. But they charge shipping on top, if you buy a few sets their shipping doesn't scale like other vendors so it becomes very cheap to buy 4-5 sets.
One question that I have is couldn't you build this set from the ground up by using official lego pieces and the instructions for the venator instead of blowing money on the real one or getting a little less quality with the knockoff?
Got my fake venator around the time you posted this video and while I agree with most things, I can tell that at least on mine all the features works just as they should (bombs, bridge etc), no pieces missing, no pieces falling out. Yes, the plastic is not the same quality and some pieces have more or less grip than they should have, but considering the price and the fact that Lego no longer makes it, I think this is a no brainer to buy if you don't already have the original one.
If you paid 1/4 of the current price of the Venator, you got ripped off. It is literally $25 on hitian, last I checked the Lego version is about $800. You could literally buy the fake, replace the parts that don't work with real Lego, and still be hundreds of $ better off.

I just bought a non-Lego Imperial Star Destroyer off AliExpress for $135. It is a clone of the Lego 75252, 4784 pieces. The Lego version is going for around $1,100 - $1,500. It will have to be pretty damn bad to make the Lego version the better buy. Lol. Side note: Just me, but I actually don't like the Lego name imprinted on every damn stud all over the model. I think it takes away from the overall look of the ship.

My kids want to play with their toys not look at them in a box waiting 20 years to become collectible. The entire toy industry in the west is dying tue to ridiculous collecting
