    Guys disclaimer : don't even try to eat even a small tiny piece of it raw ...that'll cause itching in the troat its so painful that it'll feel like a knife scratching
    Remedy: drink tamarind sugar juice 😁

    Thanks Mrs Hebbar .. this looks really awesome .. we had a neighbor where Ajji used to give us only steamed patrode with sprinkle of coconut oil .. she at her age of 90 used to promote steamed food 😊😊

    Also colacasia leaves have itchy nature. So it's better to soak them in tamarind water for some time and then use it will reduce itchiness after consumption. Else get ready for itchy throat after consumption. My granny used to make this.

      Konkani dish? Which place this dish is famous for bcoz some says it's himachali dish, is it konkan Maharashtra, bcoz its confusing between goan konkani n Maharashtra konkan

      @@gloriousfuture9765 i dont know about himachal but this is not Patrodo. Patr in konkani leaf and vodo is dumplings so it called patrodo. Its patrode leaf tempering

      @@karthikbhat84 lol costal learnt it from Konkanis. In konkani Patra = leaf and vodo = dumplings, Patra+vodo = Patrodo, rest say it as Patroade. At costal apart from Konkani all do it with sambar powder and only 2 type vogarne and patdore gatti in gassi. 😜

    I never actually realized that it caused itching
    Coz when my mom taught me the recipe she told me to cut out the harder stems. I thought it was coz they didnt cook properly

    Pathrode recipe is good. But it will be good if you just make one slice and eat rather than cutting it pieces. The fulfillment of authentic Pathrode making gets diluted.. Anyways good recipe

    Seasoning patrode making small pieces is something new. We do only till steaming. And we don't add jaggery

      It's colocasia leaves.
      If you are not an Indian this might be slightly spicy for you but it is extremely tasty. Very healthy too coz it's steamed.

      it is himachli dish...it can couse iching in thort if not cook well ...so give it steam more then one hr. and after steam it u can cut and direct fry it in oil ..it will reduce iching if it will b there

      Jenifer Lawrance in Gujarati cuisine, we have something similar called patra. We use chickpea flour instead of the rice flour batter here.

      @Raghavendra Kulageri The colocasia leaves has a itchy characteristics and may trouble your throat. hence a concentrated spice mixture should help to reduce its itchy behaviour. Use tender colocasia leaves to prevent itchiness.
