Very cool , love ya garden beds and how much work you have done . I have started 12 , 10 metre beds on my 6.5 acres way down here in Southland now I have done the no dig and the till beds , my compost no dig beds need more manual watering than the natural soil untill the plant roots get down to the actual soil as the compost dries out a lot more and faster than normal soil. But there are fantastic benefits from the no dig , so basically I have a test between the no dig and dig beds. But love your work fantastic job you do.
Great stuff!! We discovered Charles's method 4-5yrs ago and tried it out and it worked! So this last year or so have expanded down here on the rocky 'wet' coast on our front lawn, and boy, do the worms love this method and the vege are awesome as a result! Used weedmat first year a couple years ago in new orchard garden which was a gorse forest, now its off and have minimal weeds/gorse seedlings or the ones that do appear they're easy to pull out. Keep up the good work!
Q: where do you source your seeds from ? I seem to be finding commercial type outfits that'll do 25kg bags, or places that'll do 10 seeds in a packet for $1 or so but nothing in the middle. For the market garden if you wanted to plant a reasonable amount, like a jans seeder or such is there a good place to go in nz ? Assuming you aren't growing for seed yourself, of course.
