Loved this video! My wife and I are in Orlando, but we'll make day trips to eat in St Pete because the food scene is amazing and probably the most diverse and close in proximity in Florida. Y'all gave me some great ideas! Thanks! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Bodega used to be a small to go place with just a window to order and no seating. They moved and now have seating. Great Cubans! Casitas has great tacos (I get the fried shrimp) chips and dips & margaritas ! But I think I need to try Hawkers the Asian fusion and Engine No 9 for the burger next time I go visit my Sis over there! Have you tried Mazzaros Italian market either for food to take home and heat up or eat there! It's always packed and closes early so go on a weekday. Amazing !
I had this on in my living room and our neighbor walked in right when you said Sarah got the happy ending 😂😂. My neighbor looked at me like, what the hell are y'all watchin! 😆🤣💀
Our kind of friends! We both lived in San Diego for a few years so it took us awhile to find some places we liked, but I think we found so good spots. Maybe we should do a "best tacos in Florida" video. lol
The editing on these videos is great. I hope y'all gain more traction and subs so this could be your full time job (I don't know if it is) because it seems that you guys really love making these videos. Do you have a background in video editing or is this just something you enjoy doing in your free time?
Much appreciated!! I have 10 years in photojournalism that I learned while serving in the military. Just took that information and combined it with techniques from my favorite directors and editors on RUclips to create my own style. We're not full time yet. Hopefully we will be this winter if we gain more traction. Likes, shares and comments like this go a long way!
Favorite beer. So much so I haven't even tried anything else there. They got a beer called applejacks, and one called Butterbeer that I bet are life-changing as well. Might try those next time.
For some more local spots: St. Pete Bagel Co. Pineapple Espresso Mozart Bakery Pia's Trattoria (i know its gulfport, but its close) Joey Brooklyns Fergs Twisted Indian Thats all i got so far. Are y'all from around here? Yall mentioned coming often 👀🤔
Gotta check out twisted Indian! Their chicken tikka in any of the forms they offer is amazing! Also (not downtown, but check out a dessert place called funky sweets for special funnel cakes!)
Yeah we've been wanting to go there for a long time actually. Just never seemed to make our way over there when we were craving Indian Food. Thanks for adding great recommendations!
New to y'alls channel. I'm interested in where to live in St. Pete. I used to live in Tampa and spent a lil bit of time in st. Pete. Those food places looked great too! I could tell that French toast was good af 😅
Thanks for the sub! We're living near Crescent Lake for the next two months then we're uprooting and traveling to SE Asia for the end of the year into the spring/summer of next year
You guys should checkout downtown Lakeland and do a video. We stopped there coming back to Orlando from St. Pete Beach and they had a lot of great food and drink spots. The Joinery and Mojo Federal Swine and Spirits were awesome.
Next time yall come. Try the MLK crab house (garlic wings), sesh, millers Jamaican spice cuisine, and the Orlando Latin market. Real local stuff, not just the stuff popular on instagram.
I just want to state, how do people drink like they do in these videos where they spend a whole day in a town and drink from 10am to 6pm and then drive cars lol. I know it's "only one" but a cocktail after a beer after a cocktail after beer sounds like more alcohol than most people drink in a weekend. Are you driving around drunched up? Or are you filming your "day in St. Pete" over the course of multiple days? I don't even know how you could eat that much food in a single day haha.
Um, we live here, so we walk, Uber, or use lime or bike to get around, so there's that. Even if we didn't, we usually walk or uber when we travel anyway. And where did you get "a day" from? This video is called "12 must-try restaurants in St. Pete". Do you think we ate at 12 places in a day? No, this is over weeks of filming. You know you really shouldn't assume things if you don't have common sense to piece together that much. We're wearing different outfits throughout the video for crying out loud 🤣
See there you go making wrong assumptions again. Rich kid energy? Ha! Just say you're broke, that's easier. We don't own a house or a car. I had to join the Navy to support my family and save money to be able to do this, and Sara worked 3 jobs before we started doing RUclips. Oh, and we're both over 30, working class adults, btw.
I don't understand how you can release a video like this. The culinary level in Tampa Bay is below zero. It's just a shame to lie to people who know what food is.
We've lived all over the US. Tampa Bay doesn't have the best food scene in the country, but it's nowhere near the worst. So for you to sit here and type out a claim that is below zero is absolutely hilarious to me. We'll let you know next time we want more of your "expert" culinary advice 🤣
So wait... your check total at The Library was $72.75 and you said it was $83 with tip? So you left a $10.25 tip on a $73 bill? I'm embarrassed for you.
I'm a Foodie, I'm excited to go to these restaurants when I get to St. Petersburg this summer.
some really good ones to choose from

You're welcome! We're thinking of making a trip to Orlando soon actually. What are some of your favorite spots outside of the parks?

We stopped by the market but it was just so packed we decided not against it. Haven't had the fried shrimp at Casitas yet. Going to have to try that!
Beautiful vlog 👍 nice sharing friend, love from Taste of life ❤️
Thank you, and thanks for watching!

This video was made so well! Also those coffees looked good!
Thank you! They were. A little pricey, but really good. Can't wait to go back when the cereal flight is back on the menu

That French Toast, OMGoodness!! Thank you.

You had me at "beer and tacos". As an Arizona transplant I am ALWAYS hunting for great tacos.

Everything looks so good.
It was!
Hello from Argentina! I love your videos 👏👏
Hi! Thank you!
You two are such foodies. I recommend Salt Rock Grill at Indian Shores north of St. Pete Beach. Its a bit pricey but soooo gooood
What do you recommend we get there? What are some of your go-tos?
@@TheDetourDuo tuna Sashimi, key lime oysters, and sea bass are my favorites but if you don't like seafood the steaks are very good
Love this video. You hit a lot of great spots! Some recommendations for your next video.: Twisted Indian, Wild Child and In Between Days
Awesome thanks for these!

Dead ass. I’ll drive, I just want to follow y’all around for one of these videos
we still tryna make Orlando happen. want to collab while we hit some food spots? lol
Is the cereal bar place gone I can’t find it on the map.
Not sure but it still pops up for me. this is the address: 689 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33701
Sara, I cut my burgers in half too 😉
It's less mess!
10:23 what is going on, y’all have me leaving too many comments on this video! This is another FMU place
That place was more like food coma, the itis if you will!
7:21 this looks like a FMU
that's exactly what it was. I think Sara said it best "Oh F%$k!"
sadly focheezy has closed :( great video tho!
Oh no!
A dragon ball z drink. Nuff said ❤

Beware of Oak stone, every thing was drowning in oil.
I don't think we've ate there yet so that's good to know
What about gluten free eateries?
Sorry, neither one of us is gluten free so we don't really pay attention to those options
$83 for breakfast, that's mad
Total cost after tip! Since we had alcohol, that probably added another $30 we could have saved.
Wrong St. Peterburg 😂😂😂
It says St Petersburg Florida in the title and the thumbnail says "St Pete" 😂😂😂
@bokka409 0 critical scrutiny skills, use your brain a little harder
Mango in a "Cuban" is NOT a Cuban. This is sacralidge. Period. Shame. Shame on you!
