Thank you for your reaction to The SiXsters. These Girls will grow in popularity if more people get the chance to discover them. To me this song here is obviously about the War, not a love affair. Except, maybe the love for their country. **Attention Everyone! Watch for The SiXsters to announce their upcoming Christmas Live feed in December. The last couple of years have been fun and they sometimes play a song or two that hasn't been released yet. Keep an Eye out for this announcement coming soon! New subscriber for The Sixsters. :) Wow, great reaction, you really appreciated the depth of the song, its lyrics, and if you dig deeper into this band, you'll be surprised and glad you did. If you want in-your-face punkish try "City," if you want a powerful ballad type song and some great vocals try "Everything I Owned" (it's pretty heavy, be warned, it is haunting). "Same Kid" rocks out, and "Feels" is quirky and a lot of fans' favorite.
An outlier? Hard to say actually as every song they do is so varied it’s hard to say what’s typical & what’s not. I would agree they are Punk at their core. Especially in the sense they do whatever they want with their music. ‘Feels’ goes into the punk. ‘I Stare At You’ runs along the lines of this song. “Happiness” (written the day they reunited in Germany). “Seems to Dance” is a just plain hilarious video. There’s acoustic, there’s ballad, there’s DJ scratching (‘City’), there’s comedy-sketch interludes (‘Same Kid’)’ there’s complete heartbreak (‘Everything I Owned’). Best answer: listen to everything & make your own classification. I just call them awesome!😊
This song won them an award from an anti-corruption organization, which saw them attend an anti-corruption conference and play a gig at an old prison. I found this band at the start of the year and quickly grew to love them after playing their back catalogue. Every song is so different, moving between Rock styles effortlessly. The war effected them of course, causing line-up changes and some telling lyrics in some of their songs they've released since mixed in with some really fun stuff.
@@MetalHeadReacts Same Kid is the first song on their new album To Be Continued... It is hard rock and more like what you are used to... has a great solo part by Anna (lead guitar) and Sofia (keyboard)... ruclips.net/video/VqloSapRv44/видео.html
Brilliant group, kate the drummer started band aged 9. ❤

@@oregonlt3 aaah, fair enough. Sounds intriguing. So much variation in style could be very interesting to investigate.

I should add, most are still in school and live as refugees in Germany.
