i have a sm t520 that doesn;t charge..after watching this video i have tested as per footage and the battery is recieving 5.6 volts but still won;t hold charge , so new battery ordered for under £11. been trying to sort this for a while so just knowing where to test is godsend,,cheers
What I did to fix my issue was cleaning all the ribbon cable contacts as well as the contacts in the usb plug and usb cable. To clean the usb parts I dipped really tiny piece of paper in some electronic contact cleaner and inserted it and wiggled it all around.
So I replaced my charging port, it's charging but slow. Do I need to let it fully charge before continuing? One more thing is I feel the adaptor and it's not very warm, so I think it is stuck in slow charge mode for some reason
hi. whats the green cable about? i testet it with the multimeter, black and red are 4.23 Volt, and green and red also 4.23 Volt. if i want to take out the battery and solder the charging cable directly to the mainboard.. do i need the middle 2 green pins? EDIT: Green wire is related to battery temperature sensor, and the next White wire is battery ID. someone Replied somewhere. so they are irrelevant.
l found the power in socket to be the weekest link on this tablet , l have repaced 2 over a 12 mounth peroded, ! if this is the fault with yours needs t o be replaced then replace the usb to male input cable at the same time, as a worn male input plug may well acselerate wear on the new female socket, ! good easy to unerstand vidio , nice one !
Just Installed the new power99 battery brand new and all went well but now how long dose it take to beable to turn on. Where the home button are tow options that light up in blue after all was done and plugged it in saw those light up and now nothing. So how long dose it take to charge before it will even turn on?
3 months ago I replaced a bad battery on my T-520. All was well until it stopped charging due to the bad shape of the micro usb port. Now it is charging very-very slow. I meshed around with different chargers and cables but problem remains. When I measure the chargers output it is 5,1V and 0,45A when it should be 1,5~1,7A any ideas ? thanks
Did u replace the charging port? If the battery is new then the charging port is the issue or else the motherboard charging IC is busted. Not work repairing on the last stage.....
Ah I see now that's y my tablet is dead for months... I've been charging it but it woont charge nor turn on... I see mine is the 30 pin charger. So I need a new one cool. But I dont have a tester...
