Wow, incredible, what an odyssey. And everywhere busy stations, freight trains, people coming and going, locally or much further.
As a personal note, that stretch from New Haflong to around Damchara looks much like the landscape in our own Cajamarca valley in northern Perú which could well do with a pair of steel rails, I note with great pleasure curved viaducts and serpentine tunnels which proves it CAN be done.

Another excellent video. I doubt I will ever go to this part of the country, but thanks to your video, I know what it looks like. It was also nice to see a pure diesel section without even any electrification related construction activity. It is only a matter of time before this stretch is electrified so let’s enjoy these section while they still exist. It was sad to see so much trash being thrown out of the windows.
