  • Detroit Tigers triumphed over the Philadelphia Phillies in their latest MLB encounter at Comerica Park. The Tigers' starter, Tarik Skubal, delivered a masterful performance with seven scoreless innings, allowing only three hits and striking out seven. Offensively, the Detroit Tigers rallied in the fifth inning, scoring all four of their runs. Andy Ibanez stood out, going 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs and a run scored. Despite a late solo home run from Bryce Harper, the Philadelphia Phillies couldn't overcome the deficit, ultimately falling 4-1. Phillies starter Ranger Suarez struggled, giving up four runs over six innings. With this victory, the Detroit Tigers continue to show resilience in the 2024 MLB season.

Taking Skubal out of a shutout game after 7 innings, with only around 90 pitches thrown, with a struggling bullpen, against the best team in the league had me shaking my head for a moment. Luckily they pulled it off.
