Hmm I've got coming up two years now in Tier 2 support with some network experience etc. Really struggling to move on past that in the UK. I guess certification is the next step.
Hi David, do you think it's worth it to do the Masters in Cyber from Western Governors University if I have 3 years exp or should I just stick to hands on projects? Been applying to try and get a better job but get rejected by everybody, don't even make it to a screen call. I think it's my lack of credentials(liberal arts degree, no certs, 5 years exp IT, 3 years exp security).
If you have no certs and no formal education, they probably won't accept your applications. A masters degree might be a bit of an over-reach, however i'd start small with some key certifications for the job you want and try your luck after that
@@dccybersec yeah it was the browser that opened from my phone automatically when clicking the link, I copy and pasted it to a different one and it worked! thanks
For some skills sure. It probably won’t help too much to land a job as a sole certification though. Prior IT experience is ultimately what will help you here
cybersec is satured ! thats why most of "'cybersec it people doing cashcourse, videos, etc" Only the best of the bests now! the HR have so many people available looking for job, people who made 100k last years, this year making 50year.
Saturated for entry level positions - sure I'll agree with that. Have a look at any job listing websites. There's a lot of jobs in the industry. I myself don't work for a company, I work for myself.

@@vedantdhamija5314 Happy to help mate! The Australian market focuses heavily on experience, and of course, your eligibility to work in Australia (working visa or PR is required). Which jobs are you applying to and what direction are you wanting to take with your career?
First! 😅 Excited for this one mate
Hope you enjoy!

Try a different browser or turning off some ad blocking software - that could be blocking it?
