Thiests: "Something can't come from nothing."
Atheists: "Ok, fair enough. Then where did your God come from?"
    Theists: "God has always existed."
Atheists: "But if something can't come from nothing, that means your God can't exist either."
Theists: "But...but...Yes it can, because the Bible said so. 😢
Hearing this exact conversation is what made me read the Bible for myself. 18 months later, I was an atheist.

When theists say something can't come from nothing I ask if their god is a physical entity. When they give the "timeless, spaceless immaterial" Schick I point out there god had nothing to make everything from so they just disproved their god.

Yes, we have graduated from a childlike, superficial form of reasoning to a much more advanced and integrated, in-depth understanding of the world and our place in it. I remember the Jehova's Witnesses coming to my house a few years ago. They got out of the car and asked me if I believed in God, and I said no, I didn't. They then asked me to look at my Cottonwood trees, the clouds, the birds, the sky and asked me where I thought all that stuff came from. My reply: It all came from existence. Deer in the headlights look from both and they got back in their car and left.

My issue with these kind of viewpoints where people look at their own blessings and fortunes and privileges, as a means of convincing themselves and attempting to convince others around them that there is a God And in a way it feels arrogant because they’re basically flaunting their own privileges around people who don’t have them and insist that other people share in their suspicions because of the privileges that they themselves have, whereas despite my own Fortunes, it’s the misfortune of others around me, including people I care about, that have compelled me not to believe in God, added to the fact that there’s no Incentive to favor one god over another Let alone believe one exists, and I’m not gonna trash on anybody who wants to believe in a God in their own volition, but I’m not gonna stand by and kiss somebody’s ass when they insist that I share their suspicions given the shitty things that have happened to people around me that I care about, nor am I going to listen to them give me fairytale horseshit. I’m just not buying it.

You are saying, "Well, I know something exists, but I'm not satisfied starting with existence. Let me step outside of existence to look for a cause." You either start with existence, or you begin with non-existence. There is no other alternative. So, why do you start with nothing and then seek a cause for existence, stealing concepts all the way?

I think a reasonable argument for a god being possible could be made, but you would have to throw out one or more attributes that most insist it possesses. Immaterial is the first thing that has to go. It must materially exist somewhere, perhaps in another universe or dimension. Even possibly in some non-physical way as energy or natural forces or some other incomprehensible way, but it must have some traction somewhere to interact with spacetime, matter, or energy in this universe. Timeless is almost as bad, although I can presume that there might be somewhere outside our universe where something else is a stand-in for time to allow events to happen, or that other universes have a totally separate timeline, such as somewhere like where Biblical angels must have dwelt "prior" to the creation of this universe. The Biblical god evolves through the events in the stories, making mistakes and regretting them, changing personality over time. Having a character arc within a story necessitates the flow of time.
